I watched The History Channels documentary about the 9/11 Truth Movement last night, and I was surprised that the information that the History Channel used to illustrate the thinking of the movement was basically correct.I also saw that they used the type of technique that always gave the last word to the people debunking the “myths” of 9/11. I have to admit that the History Channel did a good job of debunking many myths about 9/11 but failed to answer my own questions.
When I was in the Army from 1968 to 1975, I worked on an air defense system that was part of NORAD, the Nike-Hercules air defense system (the precursor of the Patriot system used now). The system incorporated a system call IFF (Identification Friend or Foe). This system sent out a signal to every plane flying, and if a plane had a transponder working, once it received that radar signal from the ground, it would reply with a signal of it’s own. This would mean that there would be a circle around the plane’s blip on the radar-scope. If the plane had no transponder on, or if it was an enemy plane with no transponder with the secret code that was changed from time to time, then the target on the radar would have only a half circle around it. The bottom of the circle which was our half circle that we sent to the plane, but with no top half of the circle which would be completed by the suspect plane’s transponder
The Patriot system has essentially the same system. The FAA has the same transponders. The History Channel showed 4500 planes in the air all-over the country. Listen, one acquisition-type radar in a given area will only have at most a hundred planes on it. If they turned their IFF on, or used the Patriot system that’s based around Washington DC, it would have been child’s play to find those missing planes.If they didn’t do that, then they were criminally remiss. If they don’t have IFF in the FAA systems then they also are criminally remiss. They should have IFF systems in FAA systems for a hijacking event in any case.
Also, why is it only now that anyone has tried to answer the myriad questions that have arisen since the tragedy of 9/11? You know that the History Channel had to have had the cooperation of the Federal Government to ask the questions that they did and show the equipment that they did. Why didn’t they state their case earlier?
Either way, we know that this will not close the case on 9/11, it will only fuel the debate. I believe in facts, not hysteria, the documentary in this case did in fact answer many questions I had. However it also didn’t answer the questions I raised above. Maybe 9/11 wasn’t an “inside job” as many claim at least not the actual event.However the money trail from the Pakistani ISI to the 9/11 hijackers is not clear. Why was General Ahmed in Washington from September 4-13, 2001, and why did he wire $100,000 to Muhammad Atta?
The most insidious thing that happened through all of this is defiantly the Federal Government’s fault. They should have explained everything long before now. The incidents that led to this 9/11 Truth Movement were perpetrated by our own government that seems to have declared war on the rights of the American People in the wake of this terrible tragedy.So many of our rights that are written in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, even the Magna Carte have been trashed. Is it any small wonder that the American people don’t trust their own government anymore? They lied their way into a war in Iraq, what’s the difference between lying about an incident where 3,000 American were killed and this War where Hundreds of thousands of Americans and Iraqi’s have been killed? It’s not such a leap of the imagination to believe that 9/11 was part of the total picture, and I don’t call anyone that suspected it a “whack-job” or a “basement conspiracy-nut that has a connection to the Internet”. I believe that even if they are wrong, they are well-intentioned patriotic Americans that just want clear answers that up until last night, they were not getting.
I’m not taking sides. I want my questions answered though. I also am more concerned with this new unlimited power that the government has taken from the people than I am concerned about the specifics of 9/11. Maybe someday we will all know the truth, every detail, or maybe not. We still wonder how Lee Harvey Oswald managed to do the damage he did with one well-placed shot in Dallas in 1963. We still have people on both sides saying that it was a physical impossibility, and people saying that yes, it could have happened. Unless someone gives a deathbed confession, or other evidence turns up, we will never know. Just as we will never know who sink the Maine, or who killed MLK or conspired with the man charged.
We should concentrate on getting our rights returned to us. It wasn’t the American people that were responsible for 9/11. Senator Leahy today called for Cheney to release documents on the wiretaps that the government asked for or to be held in contempt of Congress.http://thinkprogress.org/2007/08/20/cheney-leahy-subpoena/ That is the way it should be. No one is above the law. Not Bush, not Cheney. If Congress wants to exercise their oversight role, that is part of their job. I only hope that they don’t back down again. That’s the way I see it.

Tonight’s History Channel program on 9/11 Conspiracies – Fact or Fiction shows how powerful our movement has become, and how contemptible our opposition is. The deck was stacked, the animations were distorted and fantastic, and the framework was rather nasty, but this was of course NBC News, read GE, which is now a hedge fund in drag. And even NBC News, often the slimiest of the networks, has been forced to pretend to refute numerous factual criticisms of the official story, one by one. I say pretend because most of the refutations were simply blanket denials, with no facts or reasoning beyond mere assertions that the 9/11 truth theses are not true, offend the families, are disgusting, or “corrosive,” and other meaningless verbiage. Some of the attempts at substantive refutation involved dodges and subterfuges that seemed new, at least to me. It sounded like one of their pseudo-experts was arguing that the wings of the alleged airplane at the Pentagon had broken off through hitting objects on the Pentagon lawn. If that was so, where are the wings and the jet engines on that pristine Pentalawn? This pitiful construct is self-contradictory and destroys itself. We also heard that building 7 was hollow at the base, quite an achievement under the New York City building code. The bottom of building 7 was, we now discover, an amphitheater, with no support columns, but only trusses! I guess if your argument is ruptured, then you need a truss. Another pseudo-expert thought that a commercial aircraft could transform itself into an artillery shell or tank round and punch through the Pentagon rings that way, despite the obvious difficulty. CIA man Michael Scheuer says all the evidence points to al Qaeda, but where is all that evidence, Mike? There was none in this program, to be sure. Otherwise, Mike was reduced to some pitiful whining that there are too many decent patriotic people in the CIA – a moot point.
Some of the little people had obviously been leaned on to get them to change their testimony. But that was done with a nominalist stupidity worthy of William of Okham, the dumbest philosopher of the late Middle Ages. The wretched New York TV reporter had to say that he had reported secondary explosions, but not bombs. What precisely is the difference, when heard from afar? The poor Shanksville coroner had said that after a few minutes at the crash site, he had stopped being a coroner because there were no bodies. Now he says that he meant that he became an undertaker. Again, what is the distinction he is driving at? Where there bodies yes or no?
Most of the refutations were weak, fishy, lame, and unconvincing. In particular, any time they have to bring on Chip Berlet, that well-known gutter-dwelling character assassin and mercenary of the foundations, you know they are in big trouble, and he was quite prominent. I believe strongly in the victory of reality over fabrication and lies, and I suspect that this was the response of many viewers tonight. If we had a focus group, we could be sure, but I think more 9/11 came into the world than there were doubters who fell back into the official version based on this program.
But look at all the important factual material they had to present. The viewers got to see the squibs coming out of the twin towers. They got to see building 7 coming down, with ample comparisons to controlled demolition cases. They got to hear and see the infamous Silverstein. They got to see the singed hole in the internal rings of the Pentagon. They got to see the Shanksville crater. They got to hear about false flag operations from a chorus of authoritative voices, and for that there was no refutation. They also got a good source list for further research: Loose Change was prominent, as were Alex Jones and 9/11 Mysteries. Thierry Meyssan, the founder of our worldwide movement, got more recognition tonight than he has ever received in this country, and it is about time – his book the Big Lie is and remains a classic. They go to know David Ray Griffin, Bob Bowman, Jim Fetzer and many more. There was even a plug for my own 9/11 Synthetic Terror. Any serious, intelligent person – and there still are some – knows exactly where to go to find out more, and that can only be a big plus.
I have seen real raving slanders from NBC News, and they look different. Slanders are a relentless barrage of terms like Nazi, communist, SS, anti-semite, racist, white supremacist, Ku Klux Klan, and so forth, with no substance at all. There were only a few intervals when things began to get ugly in that way, and I do not think they convinced anybody.
Most revealing of the moral bankruptcy, intellectual cowardice, and overall weakness of the NBC spin machine were the themes they left out completely. Most glaring was that, even though he was allowed a couple of brief comments, literally all of Professor Steven Jones’ work on thermite-thermate as the key to the controlled demolition of the twin towers was completely ignored. They seem to have concluded that refuting this would be a hopeless task.
They also avoided the most critical pieces of political evidence. There was not a word about the crucial “Angel is next” message accompanied by an array of top-secret code words received by the Secret Service, which is the one documented instance during the day when the invisible government-rogue network, the authors of the coup, actually came out of the shadows and spoke. Then, there was not one mention of the twenty-five plus (25 plus !!!) drills, exercises, and maneuvers which were either in progress on 9/11, had recently been concluded, or were in advanced stages of planning. Viewers who know 9/11 only through this program would not know that there was a single drill going on, even though the Kean-Hamilton commission did talk about Amalgam Virgo, at least during the hearings, and Vanity Fair last summer did acknowledge that some air drills were going on. There was discussion about the pros and cons of cell phone calls, but not a mention of the August 2001 drill at the Department of Transportation that had a scenario of a hijacked aircraft with cell phone calls coming in. Similarly, the program was much concerned with the intrinsically weak thesis of a stand-down, without once delving into the dozen or so Air Force drills that were ongoing and that really do explain the lack of air defense – along with the activities of a certain Colonel Marr. In my dealings with the NBC producer and his team, I went out of my way to stress these two points – “Angel is next” and the 25+ drills. At the Austin conference where much of this material was taped, I made an entire speech on “Angel is next,” Bush’s movements on 9/11, and the drills. But not a word got through. Several speakers, myself included, also pounded them as much as possible about the question of the NEW 9/11 and the looming war with Iran. At rally at the University of Texas tower, we already had the report about Cheney saying on Face the Nation that morning that his main fear was not of terrorist armed not with airline tickets and box cutters, but of a nuclear bomb in a US city. But the NBC people were not interested in that one, either.
The NBC program also tended to allege that the 9/11 truth movement sees Bush and Cheney as the prime movers and directors of 9/11 – an absurd thesis. Bush is a moron, and Cheney is a moribund old drunk with four heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, and a pacemaker that has to be serviced every couple of years. I tried to make the NBC people understand the idea of an invisible government much older than Bush and Cheney, going back in the present form at least to 1895, when J.P. Morgan forced President Grover Cleveland to knuckle and under and give Morgan and London total control over the US public debt. NBC was not having any of that, either.
I would urge people in the movement to ponder why specifically these themes were so totally excluded from a broadcast which was otherwise reasonably wide-ranging. I would argue that our oligarchical enemies in the invisible government are very much afraid of issues like the Jones thermite-thermate thesis, “Angel is next,” Bush’s movements on 9/11, the 25+ drills of 9/11, and the new 9/11. They do not much like to hear the invisible government itself talked about, either. Based on this, I would appeal to the 9/11 truth movement as a whole to redouble its attacks on precisely these themes to maximize the damage to the myth-mongers. Hammer them home mercilessly, for their power is enormous. We need to focus on the best scientific-technical evidence, and the best political evidence, as represented by these issues.
Part of the genius of the 9/11 truth movement is our ability to make even the financier-controlled media spread our ideas and work for us. Despite the worst intentions of NBC News, I would say that this is what they have accomplished. They have kept 9/11 truth research in the public eye. There is an old Broadway saying – “A knock is a boost.” In other words, if we are so obscure and so crazy, why do we merit any attention at all? Two-hour documentaries are not cheap and need to get some ratings. Clearly we are not so obscure as NBC News would have us believe. In fact, if we can hold off the new 9/11 for a few more months, 2007 may turn out to be our finest hour.

Why Was The History Channel Able to Debunk the 911 Theories?
A good question actually, and quite easy to answer. If 9/11 were an inside job, we can conclude that the 9/11 perpetrators have total control of the media. We can agree they would use that control to their advantage and plant alternate theory propaganda to mislead people. This is exactly the case, and is why the History Channel was able to debunk the popular theories. Here are some examples:
Molten Metal at Ground Zero: This is a complete hoax. If molten metal existed, firefighters would have been severely injured from spraying water. The same with all the rain the week after. When water contacts molten metal, the result is a STEAM EXPLOSION.
The WTC Twin Towers did NOT "collapse": Much of the towers were turned to dust. This is no theory, it is fact. The pictures/videos here prove this beyond any doubt. (And of course, the photos in that link are confirmed by all other available photos.)
The WTC Twin Towers were NOT "brought down with explosives": Explosives cannot explain what happened. The "explosives hangout" is going to be used by the 9/11 perpetrators to blame Al Qaeda. Here's a video of Bush doing exactly this.
If you watched the History Channel '9/11 Conspiracies' show last night, you may have noticed how right off the bat they went for the old guilt by association method of associating truthers with the practically nonexistent "Jews did it" crowd. What you may have missed is that in the end of the segment they do a slow zoom into a website in an "evil type way", with the implication it was a truther website, which says "JEWS DID WTC" and flashes Stars of David, the twin towers, and other 9/11 related pictures. What they didn't mention was that this site is a ytmnd parody site! You can see the site right here: http://jewswtc.ytmnd.com/. The history channel is so desperate to slander 9/11 truth that they actually attempted to link the movement to a ridiculous ytmnd parody site! Talk about desperation!
I don't claim to be. In fact I said to my wife that was a little blown over by the documentary "Why didn't they mention the Thermite?" So please, don't take one line out of context and demonize me. I've already been thrown off Jeff Teidrich's Smirking Chimp for asking questions about 9/11. I don't need to be labeled a government stooge for mentioning what they said in the documentary. I said "I wasn't taking sides" and even offered some testimony that I consider myself an "expert" in. For God's sake keep investigating. I trust the MSM about as much as I trust the Neo-cons.

why would people believe a scientist in the first place, when he says he found evidence of thermate analyzing dust samples in a lab??
Moreover, if there was evidence of thermate, why wasn't it mentioned in Steven Jones' Request for Correction (RFC) to NIST? I wonder what his objective is?
Judy Wood mentioned directed energy weapons in her RFC, which enables her attorney, Jerry Leaphart, to look at legal proceedings.

Smirking Chimp does a pretty good job as a left gatekeeper
Although Smirking Chimp posts many sound pieces, they are certainly left gatekeepers on 9/11. I have no idea what the underlying motivation is; I am not necesessarily imputing base motives, although I do not exclude the possibilty either. I don't know enough about the people who run the site, and can only make inferences from what they permit. In the comments section, you can get in your 2 cents worth on 9/11. Perhaps too vociferous a position that was pro 9/11 truth would be censored. I have no idea.

it seems to me, if you still have questions, then the History Channel didn't do a very good job.and just as a quiet addendum, how could a company (NBC) who produced the debunkingfest which is also a subsidiary of GE (who manufacture weapons to kill people) oppose their own best interests and be objective? i personally cant see it.

That's right! The same people who brought us the Popular Mechanics 9-11 garbage are yellow as ever...this time with computer animations on TV! Yes, Hearst/NBC/GE's propaganda outfit and GE defense contractors are teaching us about history. That should be fair and balanced...there are no conflicts of interest there! NO!
I can't believe Gatto thinks they answered (most of) the pertinent questions...I actually read it waiting for the punch line, like his satirical latest post.
Gee...why was Steven Jones' thermate hypothesis completely left out of the program. GE, I wonder.

they will need to do it themselves. It certainly won't be done for them. It's every American's responsibility to remove corrupt elements in the government. When the government gets infested with corruption, it's The People's duty to remove the infestation and restore normal law and order and the Constitution. That's what being American means.
I'm looking forward to the illegal wiretaps proceedings, as well as the Montana contempt charges. But it goes much much deeper.
The United States is not run by the government, it's run by private organizations such as the Federal Reserve and the media. The infestation in those organizations must be removed. But it doesn't stop their either.
There are people within the government, and private entities as well, who have access to very dangerous weapons. One entity, the Directed Energy Professional Society (DEPS), most obviously has the most advanced and top secret directed energy weapons in existence. A founding sponsor of DEPS, Applied Research Associates, was even contracted by the government for the 9/11 NIST Report. But again, it doesn't stop there.
As I sit in my Brooklyn NY home, I notice the temperature outside to be 20 degrees lower than normal. No, this is not due to global warming. But is due to the chemtrails in the sky.
If the infestation is to be removed, more Americans must start acting American and do something. It's certainly not going to be done for them.

Chem Trails? Did you mention chem trails in a discussions about 9-11 Truth? Some will say you digress, as though other "conspiracies" have nothing to do with 9-11 Truth. I DISAGREE!
As I type this post I'm looking out my window and can see a chem trail in the western sky. There isn't a week goes by that I don't see at least a few of them.
9-11 is the tip, albeit a very prominent tip, of an enormous iceberg. It doesn't exist in a vacuum, and it's connected to countless other important Truths and conspiracies that have been kept from us for well over the last 60 years.
The size of this gorilla is now so large that anything less than massive outside intervention will not be enough to stop it.

You mentioned Chemtrails. They are indeed playing a big roll in what is happening with our weather. And as you are aware, these are not normal jet contrails.
Why and what they're spraying in the skies is a secret and is something we'll never know the real answers to. The media refuses to report about it as they do with the truth of 911.
We're living in a matrix! Where truth and reason doesn't apply.
Americans had better awaken from their credulous state of mind.
I was watching a chem trail being layed down last week when suddenly the white plume just stopped, as though someone had flipped the OFF switch, or the chemicals had just run out - while the plane went on. Try equating that to normal contrails.
"We live in a matrix where truth and reason don't apply." How true. Something like chem trails can be in plain sight for all to see, yet they remain an enigma because someone in "authority" hasn't yet sanctioned it or acknowledged it for us. This is how intelligent we are as a species.
How does that bode for 9-11 Truth? Not well, because it's one event that is over and done.

But because of our corporate owned news media and especially (GE) the truth is surpressed. They tell us whatthey want us to hear. They're not reporting the facts. The history channel is a case in point which is partly owned by General Electric.
Without 911 there's no invasion of Iraq. The PNAC plan is now in gear. Sadly, who's going to stop them? No one! If they're not stopped life as we know it here in the Good Ole U.S. of A is going to change and not for the good. And if and when they decide to attack Iran? At which point Russia and China could join in. You'll have one huge never ending conflict. Who profits from this?
Control of the Middle East (permanant military bases) and it's oil is the objective.

I only saw part of that thing on TV and lucky to have it for I don't spend much time watching crap. Witnesses, some firefighters from Brooklyn and Queens I believe, said they saw small puffs shooting out from bldg 7 as it collapsed. A structural engineer I know told me there's no way that building could have gone down like it did (or the twin towers either) as we've been told. No sir - more bullshit and since it was broadcast over a corporate-owned TV channel, what else would you expect?
