FEAR OF BOTTLED WATER

So now we've been stampeded by every media outlet into being petrified of our own cosmetic creams and liquid refreshments. But anyone even remotely interested in investigating the readily accessible truth (apparently nobody in the mainstream corporate media) could have easily determined this simple fact.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LIQUID EXPLOSIVE

You need to read those words again.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LIQUID EXPLOSIVE

Not that could be used in any practical way by a potential terrorist in the way we are told they might do it. The talk is about peroxide based explosives, specifically TATP, which terrorists have indeed used in other situations. But while the raw materials used to synthesize the explosive are liquids, the end product is not. In fact, the SOLID end product is LESS explosive if it is wet. In other words, someone even less competent than Richard Reid (the couldn't get a shoe to explode guy) would have had to mix smelly liquid chemicals to perform a chemical synthesis in his seat, resulting in a material with a "DISTINCTIVE ACRID SMELL", and then somehow find a way to separate and dry it before even trying to set it off, and to do all that without ANYBODY even in the next seat noticing anything . . .

The idea is so preposterous, so idiotic, how stupid would a person have to be to try it, let alone believe (apparently everyone in the mainstream corporate media) that there is any real danger from someone else trying it? But then again, they've been passing off mindless drivel as legitimate network news for some time now. Keep in mind that that Richard Reid was trying to use a device with an already completely prepared DRY TATP detonator and he couldn't even manage to get THAT to explode.

If a terrorist were to somehow smuggle solid explosives onto a plane, we must always be vigilant against that. But to mix them with any moisture at all, would be to self-defeat any prospect of even having an explosion. That's just how utterly ludicrous this whole liquid explosive story is! A person would have as much chance of taking down the Brooklyn Bridge with a single blow torch. Oh, that's right, another dangerous terrorist plot they stopped in time, and they made a huge media splash about that one.

So now that we are running scared of the guy in the next seat with a bottle of Evian, we have only one course of action left to us. Regime change in France.

UPDATE: Is there not one actual journalist left in the mainstream media? Not one who isn't a blow-dried fluff-head? Not one capable of doing anything else but dittoing White House propadanda points at face value? Consider this assertion from an ABC online "news" story about the recent arrests in London.

"In this case, the specific plan was to conceal a liquid bomb ingredient - acetone peroxide"

Hello. Earth to ABC. Acetone peroxide (TATP) is NOT a liquid. NOT a liquid. NOT A LIQUID!!!!! Good grief. It this whole thing one huge honking hoax or what?

And how about that cable news talking hairdo who went on and on about having to give up her "expensive foundation" at the airport check-in? She said it twice, EXPENSIVE foundation. You'd think without it her face would cave in.

If it wasn't so pathetically embarrassing it would be . . . no, it wouldn't be funny either. It's just tragic.
