World Bank Closing in on Wolfowitz!

Is The World Bank Showing More Courage Than Pelosi? Events surrounding the embattled Paul Wolfowitz seem to have appeared out of the ether entirely undirected by his political enemies in the USA. Is the Sampsonian handwriting on the wall, a sign of the neo-con exponential decline? In an emergency meeting of the 24 Management members of the World Bank, which lasted most of the day, Paul Wolfowitz has been asked to resign. Graeme Wheeler one of his deputies, was a key figure in the request and inferred that for altruistic reasons, Wolfowitz should step down, sources said today, Graeme Wheeler, World Bank Manager, appointed by Wolfowitz two years ago brought the matter up for discussion at the meeting yesterday. Graeme Wheeler is said to be a reputable past World Bank Treasurer and has the respect of unbiased members of the banking community. Wheeler was a member of the New Zealand Treasury before joining World Bank in 2005. In typical Neo-con hubris and fashion Wolfowitz refused to resign, and supposedly still has full support of "...The White House and GW Bush...," Tony Fratto, a "White House Spokesman" reported. The bank employees have also allegedly asked for Wolfowitz' s resignation. Fratto made what could be taken as a veiled threat in his defense of Wolfowitz, saying something to the effect that he thought the World Bank Board ought to stick to the facts, treat Wolfowitz with fairness and consider of the long-term effectiveness of the institution. It was further alleged that banking staff were outraged at Wolfowitz' s conduct and that he exceeded bank compensation increases to his friend by several times the allowed ceilings. This matter may be investigated as well by the bank's internal office of Institutional Integrity (INT). The ethics committee claims that they were unaware of the circumstances and is now raising the questions about Wolfowitz's conduct. He allegedly indicated that the bank directors initiated the raises, they however denied that this was the case, saying they only heard about the raises though the news media. It would seem that now, aside from the political battles with the Democrats, the Bushite empire is beginning the process of slow death by silent implosion. It would further appear that the reality is taking hold and people of integrity supporting true worldwide democracy, are beginning to run out of patience and ignore attempted intimidation by politicians. Perhaps Ms. Nancy Pelosi should take a lesson from that and from the events which fate is dealing out, which appear unconnected to the USA political mess and from the scorching Impeachment movements spreading across the USA. Apparently, she has about as much regard for Democracy as do the Neo-cons. Maybe San Francisco's 8th District voters need to send her a wake-up call. To his credit, however, despite his refusal to resign, Wolfowitz indicated that he would accept whatever, "remedies" the Bank, decides upon. Forces outside the efforts of Democratic politicians appear to be dealing the once high-riding Neo-cons one setback after another and still some stubborn Democrats avoid the public interest and needs of justice, by ignoring public out cry to install A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR or to go to impeachment. Is Somebody up there trying to tell both parties something? If so, they appear not to be listening. Where now are Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson, they who were so quick and free to tie the "will of God" to 9/11 and attempt to invoke the "Wrath of God" upon Hugo Chavez? Why do they not see the Sampsonian, handwriting on the wall, as prophetic symbolism, now?-Symbolism telling them the jig is up!
