Plausible Deniability: America's #1 Law

A nation is more that the some of its parts.  Great cities, transportation systems, food and shelters large and small for its people are part of what makes a nation, but the sum of a nation also includes how a nation conducts itself in public.  To be the greatest nation on earth, all of the above must be exemplary.

Today we have more proof than ever before, thanks to non-mainstream news sources and the internet, that plausible deniability is now the law of conduct by every aspect of American society from the local level to the Whitehouse.  What does plausible deniability mean?Definition: Plausible deniability is the term given to the creation of loose and informal chains of command in governments and other large organizations. In politics and espionage, deniability refers to the ability of a "powerful player" or actor to avoid "blowback" by secretly arranging for an action to be taken on their behalf by a third party—ostensibly unconnected with the major player.More generally, "plausible deniability" can also apply to any act that leaves little or no evidence of wrongdoing or abuse. Examples of this are the use of electricity or pain-compliance holds as a means of torture or punishment, leaving little or no tangible signs that the abuse ever took place. The destruction of the CIA tapes is just the latest, most visible example of the use of plausible deniability by our government to leave little or no evidence of wrongdoing or abuse.  Without the tapes, the torture never happened.  Without the tapes, and therefore the evidence in court, no one can be prosecuted for breaking the law.  Why?

America is a great nation because of the laws this nation was built on, the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  One principal that our laws enforce is that no one is above the law.  The problem arises when you have the power (not legal power) to circumvent the law or manipulate the law.  One of those powers is using the present dysfunctional government to “run the gauntlet” of red tape to achieve a goal.  What is that?

Well you know how you used to get those letters in the mail that said that if you don’t reply by such and such a date, you will automatically be enrolled in the promotion.  It is the same thing.  Send the notice that you will be destroying the tapes on such and such a date and if no one objects, you do it.  The problem is that the date set is short and the process to “run the gauntlet” long.  Hence by the time you read what you need to object too, the date has passed.  Opps, sorry, too late, tapes destroyed.

Christmas night I went to the movies with some friends to see Alien vs. Predator.  One of the lines in the movie when the government is coming to rescue the town and certain people don’t believe that the government will rescue them was “The government would never lie”.  With that, the entire theater broke out in laughter.

The American government, and by association, the American people are a joke.  Everyone in that theater knew that America has become a pathological liar and thought it was funny.  Well let me explain just how funny this is.

See, creditability in international politics, especially when dealing with terrorists and their supporters, is paramount.  If no one, even our own people believe a word our government says, then the possibility for peace is non existent.

Trade agreements also go out the window because if we lie so can they.  Why should I obey the agreement if the American government has no intention of doing so as well?  This also has a very dangerous side where we have moved almost ALL of our manufacturing overseas including parts for running our military.  When the EURO dollar is firmly entrenched as the worlds leading currency, which is upon us, the world will cut us off, call in our debt, and this country will collapse like the house of cards it has become.  You want proof?

Think back to 911 and the aftermath.  The President was not telling you that they had Osama bin Laden or had killed him, and still have not (more on that later), but to not let the terrorists get to you and keep shopping, buy cars and such.  The President of the United States was more concerned with the economy and the safety of the people.  Still is.

See another aspect of this whole plausible deniability policy is that with Osama bin Laden still on the run, the war on terror remains alive and therefore the expenditure of $32,000,000,000,000.00 (or in a better perspective, a war tax bill to each American family of $455,000.00.  That tax bill is DOUBLE the average value of the average American home.  Thought you overspent on your credit cards, you have nothing on your government.)  on a war that can not be won because without creditability of our word, who is going to believe we want peace and to just earn an honest dollar, excuse me EURO.

The other real problem I see here is that there are no real men of honor and integrity left in America (ladies, I include you as well).  Everyone today has some twisted agenda for profit or to justify the plausible deniability policy of this government from the Whitehouse to the local courts.  Edmund Burke said it best; quote “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”  Where have all the good men gone?

If in the case of the CIA tapes, if congress does nothing because the evidence was destroyed and can not prove who did what just remember the term plausible deniability as it once again is being used to pull the wool over your eyes and make a fool of you, and if you do nothing to force them to prosecute everyone who had anything to do with the destruction of the tapes, and also prosecute the violations that occurred on the tapes, then you are a good man who does nothing but support evil.
