Sad State of the World

People all over the world will grow weary, tired and angry at being oppressed, marginalized and used by their governments and the wealthy. If the wealth of the world is not distributed more evenly the world will become consumed with violence and chaos. The poor, the down trodden and oppressed are continually being pushed into a corner, giving birth to resentment and desperation. If the world will not give them their share of wealth, they will have no choice but to take it by whatever means they see fit. In essence the world’s greed is helping to bring out the inherent anger, violence and remorselessness of mankind.

In the coming years the world will witness what happens when people are driven to the edge.  The future holds violence because everyone wants to be rich and powerful and will have no limitations as to how this should happen. Kidnapping, murdering, hostages, terrorism will become a common everyday occurrence. Even those who want to get their message out to the world whether it is religious or political will resort to violent means.

We will witness cities of the world being ravaged by strife from the violence of the people. When violence, destruction and death become an everyday occurrence and part of the fabric of the societies of the world, what comes next? Chaos. This is no pipe dream all of this will happen one day. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that all of the violence, gore and greed we are feeding our younger generations today will take root and bring about a corrupt new breed of people. When it becomes acceptable to view death, destruction, violence and crime as entertainment a license is issued to commit these acts within society. When it becomes comical and okay to put the concept of God on the movie screen and television shows a license for a Godless society is given. If mankind will not fear God they will not fear anything, no laws, no punishment and certainly not the wages of sin. If there is no respect for God how can there be respect for anything else. This is the crude path the world is on.

Nuclear bombs are the least of our worries. This earth will not be wiped out by nuclear explosions but by the naked violent hands, selfish greed and special interest of mankind. This world will not get better; it will get worse until it annihilates itself.

But understand this that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will he lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. 2 Tim 3:1-5

It's the end of the AGE

The "last days" Timothy referred to are the last days of the passing age, and we are indeed nearing the end of the age (aeon) which the Christ Jesus himself spoke of.

Hindu prophecy speaks of the same thing, as does Buddhist prophecy and most other religious prophecies. In fact, all the greatest and most wise seers foresaw what would be happening now. And they knew why it would be happening, mainly because of the erroneous doctrines of men who claim to serve God/Allah when they are in fact proud, militant bigots and hypocrites.

We should indeed be concerned about our world, and not just our nation. Nationalism in the modern world is foolhardy, because we are part of the world, now more than ever before. And we should care about all human beings in our world, not just in our nation.

Fortunately, at the end of every age, a messenger is sent by the forces of good and the Spirit of truth. And thank God he is here and has delivered the message. All humanity has to do now is get the message.

Margaret Bassett is an 86-year old, currently living in senior housing, with a lifelong interest in political conumbrums. She hopes to hold out for one more presidential election. Bachelors from State University of Iowa (1944) and Masters from Roosevelt University (1975) help to unravel important requirements for modern communication. Can we take lessons from recent leaders?

Dr. Martin Luther King. Mahatma Ghandi. Desmond Tutu. Nelson Mandela. And a lot of persons less well-known who are interested in turning swords into plowshares. The American Friends Service Committe, maybe. Those groups who try to help Iraqi refugees. Or in our own neighborhoods, perhaps tutoring children or working at a food bank.

Is that part of the solution which people seek?

Absolutely

Many people have been and are speaking and writing truth, but not enough people have been listening to or reading their words.

The trouble is that too many people instead listen to arrogantly proud, militant, right-wing "conservatives" who claim to be the true Christians or Muslims or Jews.

That is why I advocate to work of a man who really tells the truth that the world needs to hear, in a way that will truly make a difference.

Did it once cross your mind that maybe Ms. Roach might be suffering from a generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)? It is quite common ya know?

Ms. Roach is correct though, our World is in such a shambles. Do I worry about it? Of course! And do I pray for World peace each n every day? Indeed! Do I suffer from GAD? Perhaps!

Yes, I worry about America too

There is no need to be afraid of truth yet truth is the hardest thing for some people to embrace and so they try to minimize it anyway they can. When we can start accepting the sad state that the world is in perhaps we can start to seriously look at making some much need changes. Change has to start with the individual and work it's way up. I wrote this piece on the sad state of the world to present just a few of the truths of the world we live in hopes of helping people to see that change is much needed and necessary.

Yes, I care deeply about America because I live in America, in fact my book is about America "America in Prophecy 2009-2018". But beyond the book, beyond the sad state of the world, the politicial bashing we are now witnessing in our nation I still state that this nation is the greatest place to live on this earth. It might not be all that each of us want it to be but there is great potential and in the coming years we will see some of this potential come to light.

I'm still trying to get my website up but in the future please visit www.americanprophecy.org

Thank you Sarah for sharing that wondeful information and site. It is extraordinary. It is always good to share thoughts about the truths of this world. I contend truth can be found everywhere if you look and listen hard enough.

The interpetation of the Bible is still open to interpetation but always welcome. Knowledge is Power!!

I’m an ex-Nun, and I became so after reading the writings of Karen Armstrong, who is also an ex-Nun. She wrote the best-selling books, The History of God, and The Battle for God, and she makes a lot of sense to me. However, more recently I’ve read the writings of a man who feels the same way about the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), but I think more comprehensively understands what is really needed in the world – a reformation of religion and a reformation of government, t...

I too thank Sarah, and our favorite author

After I fortuitously came across Adamson's work, I, like, Sarah and a growing number of others, have been advocating his work.

Power to the People is what Adamson stands for, and, as Lao Tzu wrote in the Book of Tao: "When the best leader's work is accomplished, the people will say, We did it ourselves!"
