Why is the Media Ignoring Ron Paul?

Why is the Media Ignoring Ron Paul?

If you live in America, you probably don’t even know who Ron Paul is. That is, unless you spend any time online researching the current Presidential candidates. Do me a favor, and “Google” Ron Paul’s name and see what happens. I just did & got 4,600,000 results.

He & his campaign are literally a phenomenon taking place right now. Thousands of grass roots organizations have formed across the country through websites such as Meetup.com. There are also hundreds of videos on YouTube… mostly from young and independent supporters. Even Elliot Schrage (Vice President of Global Communications & Public Affairs) from Google has acknowledged that Ron Paul received more questions for his interview at Google than any other candidate running for President! Watch his interview with Ron Paul (Candidates@Google) & see how many times this video has been viewed, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg

I have watched the intensity of Ron Paul’s campaign heat up over the past several months, and am dismayed over the fact that he continues to be ignored by the mainstream media. Did you know that he WON the first Presidential debate with ballots cast online? Many people were not able to see Ron Paul face off with Rudy Giuliani and hear his powerfully truthful words regarding our foreign policy. Instead, most of America saw carefully selected clips from the debate… pruned for your eyes to see Ron Paul finish his sentence, and then the crowd clapping as Giuliani snagged the emotional heartstrings of Americans by bringing up 9/11. I personally found this moment disgusting, and extremely eye opening to expose the true motivations of Giuliani as a Presidential candidate. It is painstakingly clear that he is simply trying to ride the coat tails of September 11th into the White House.

Ron Paul, on the other hand, is motivated by a philosophy of freedom. His opinions are not dictated by public opinion, or any type of special interest group… that is, unless you consider FreedomWorks or The National Taxpayers Union a “special interest group.”

I realize that some people believe Ron Paul has an extreme view on different issues facing our country. However, isn’t that exactly what we need? Do we not want our troops home IMMEDIATELY? RP is the only candidate who will bring them home IMMEDIATELY… and not just from Iraq! Ron Paul wants us to stop policing the world! Doesn’t that sound like a great idea? Wouldn’t it be nice to give our own country a little TLC? Or perhaps we could pay off our debts and figure out a way to release this generation from such an enormous financial burden. How would you like to not pay income tax anymore? Ron Paul wants to eliminate the unconstitutional impositions of the IRS. In fact, he wants to ELIMINATE the IRS! Don’t you think the economy will soar into heights it has never seen before? I do!!!

I have to tell you that I’m not an expert in government or politics… just a regular everyday American. I threw in the towel and decided not to bother with politics anymore… but then I found out about Ron Paul. His message is refreshing. I guarantee you will be in support of him if you do a little homework and discover what he is all about. I was a Republican about to vote Democratic… but both parties are extremely corrupt. I want to vote for somebody who doesn’t give a darn what his/her party is currently in favor of. I want to vote for somebody who actually opposes (in word and deed) anything that is against the constitution. Is there a single politician in this country with a more consistent voting record than Ron Paul? Is there another Presidential candidate who wants to eliminate the special privileges he might have when he takes office? Is there a man or woman who is more passionate about your personal freedom? I don’t think so! Vote for Ron Paul in the Presidential Primaries & show the mainstream media that your vote counts & that your voice WILL be heard.

Perhaps you like Ron Paul but disagree with where he stands on a couple of issues. I challenge you to compare the importance of these issues with the importance of bringing the troops home, your personal freedom and most importantly choosing the one and only candidate with indisputable integrity. He isn’t wearing religion on his sleeve to get your vote. He has lived his life and voted in such a way as to show his character. Isn’t that what we are all looking for? Vote for Ron Paul… he is the real thing!

Why they wont cover Ron Paul

Of course, it's because he frightens the GOP, wanting to change all their big money spending, warring ways back to true conservative values: no intervention in the affairs of other people, whether that's a foreign country or a US citizen...he is the only one to say he would repeal the MCA and Patriot Act, after all. His online fund raising and attention on sites like Myspace and Youtube are really giving them fits. Notice the new proposed 'filtering' legislation for the net....sites like this that draw attention to Paul  could end up behind a firewall for US citizens soon.

YES

Great article, thank you!

The elimination of America (see North American Union) relies on controlling Americans through financial means.  Ron Paul vows to abolish the IRS while ending the Federal Reserve (owned by private bankers) control over the people.

Ron Paul is the New World Order's biggest enemy.

Ron Paul for President?

Ron Paul has opposed Bush's insane invasion of Iraq, but let's not get all misty-eyed about this very conservative small-government Republican.  He's a corporatist who  would privatize social-security, medicare and all other government functions. Of course he would cut taxes because his ideal government would provide no services at all to its citizens.

He's a big-business Bush Republican without aspirations of empire through "pre-emptive war" (yet?)
