Of course, it's because he frightens the GOP, wanting to change all their big money spending, warring ways back to true conservative values: no intervention in the affairs of other people, whether that's a foreign country or a US citizen...he is the only one to say he would repeal the MCA and Patriot Act, after all. His online fund raising and attention on sites like Myspace and Youtube are really giving them fits. Notice the new proposed 'filtering' legislation for the net....sites like this that draw attention to Paul could end up behind a firewall for US citizens soon.

The elimination of America (see North American Union) relies on controlling Americans through financial means. Ron Paul vows to abolish the IRS while ending the Federal Reserve (owned by private bankers) control over the people.
Ron Paul is the New World Order's biggest enemy.

Ron Paul has opposed Bush's insane invasion of Iraq, but let's not get all misty-eyed about this very conservative small-government Republican. He's a corporatist who would privatize social-security, medicare and all other government functions. Of course he would cut taxes because his ideal government would provide no services at all to its citizens.
He's a big-business Bush Republican without aspirations of empire through "pre-emptive war" (yet?)
