The Giraffe Heroes Project

EnCouraging Today's Heroes ~ Training Tomorrow's
A Giraffe gift idea, a reminder & a hint

Dear Joan

The gift idea

You can enCourage family members or friends — either teen or fullgrown ones — with Giraffe books.

Click on the books for more info and to buy.
For the teen, we suggest It's Up To Us. In the foreword, Patch Adams said that this book "gives you the ABC's of making your life count."

For the fullgrown, we have Stick Your Neck OutA Street-smart Guide to Creating Change in Your Community and Beyond.

Both are handsome, inexpensive, thoughtful gifts that say, "I think you belong in the company of heroes." Not bad for less than $20 bucks. Do it soon. The holidays are galloping closer.

The reminder

The first-ever Giraffe call-in is this Thursday, December 6 at 5 PM West Coast time.

Got a question you've always wanted to ask? A comment you've been dying to make? Dial 1-218-936-1600. When you're asked for a "participant code," punch in 22730 and you'll be on the line with Giraffe staff. (That's a long distance call to Duluth, Minnesota. We know. We're not there, but it's how these phone "meetings" work.)

And the hint

If you haven't gone to the virtual party yet, go!

The online Celebration of Courageous Compassion is delighting visitors with its humor and creativity.

Go to www.giraffe.org/non-event and click through the items on the "program." We promise you'll enjoy the music, the talks, the stories...

If you don't think you have time for the whole party, we have a 3-minute option for you— click here and then on the sound player for Ann Medlock. The track you'll hear is the Project founder talking about why she's spent a chunk of her life telling Giraffe stories. It's pretty interesting.

Matter of fact, why don't you invite some friends to the party too? Send them that url! We think they'll thank you.

Meanwhile, we thank you for caring.

Ann Medlock is a writer who founded the Giraffe Heroes Project to foster citizen courage by honoring people who stick their necks out for the common good. The Project encourages today's heroes and trains tomorrow's.
