The Hysterical Right Wing Lies About The Clinton Email Server

Right wingers have never let facts get in the way of a hysterical, hot-headed rant.

Since the release of the OIG report, they have been in overdrive trumping up the most outrageous and reckless lies we, as actual server programmers, have ever heard.
They are literally screaming right now that the Clinton email server was hacked and that Clinton should be crucified for this cause. Hugh Hewitt claimed on national TV that China and Iran had already accessed all of Clinton's email communications. There is no evidence of any such thing, let alone in the OIG report.
Senator Ron Johnson, the chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, said on Meet The Press, --You have to assume that our enemies and adversaries had access to every email that went over her private server."
Uh . . . no . . . actually you only assume that if you are running a kangaroo court convicting people without any evidence based on partisan wish fulfillment.
Rather, you have to assume that Johnson is a faith-based idiot who knows nothing about real security measures and how they operate, and who makes his decisions entirely on reckless and inflammatory speculation.
In the first place, for those who know nothing about how servers work, and will believe any insane thing that a right wing partisan tries to peddle, ALL servers are under attack ALL the time. Hackers are out there in force constantly scanning for vulnerable IPs, engaging in random and endless brute force (that means lots of repetition) attempts to guess a working password. It does NOT mean they succeed in their hacking attempts. It does NOT mean the server was ever "compromised."
In fact, the OIG report says the exact OPPOSITE. Not only is there no evidence that the server was penetrated, the security was so diligent that when a brute force attack was detected, additional defensive measures were taken to protect its integrity. In other words, the watch dog was awake and sounded an alarm.
But the low information haters without a cause on the right apparently want to blame the Clinton IT people for being on the case, when in fact they should be CREDITED for providing better security than the typical government server.
Not only that, given that virtually all the work related emails from that server have now been released to the PUBLIC, from where is the lunatic accusation that the mere existence of this server hurt national security in any way? If they can be released now, except for a handful RE-CLASSIFIED after the fact, how could there have possibly been any harm in the first place just because they were on this server?
No, what we have here is an agency retroactively trying to cover its own butt after fact. Every person in the government who EVER received one of these emails from Clinton was on full constructive notice that she, like many other secretaries of state before her, was using a non-official government email address for work related purposes, including the self-righteous bureaucrats now saying that if she had ever asked for explicit permission it would not have been granted. It may have in fact been the MOST secure server in the entire government.
It's worse than a nothing-burger. There is no burger at all.
And it is especially hypocritical coming from #TrumpTheFraud, who himself lies CONSTANTLY about everything, and cannot even keep a straight story from one minute to the next. It's like the pot and the kettle calling out a water glass for an occasional spot.
And if you like the Trump the Fraud bumper sticker pictured at the top you can get one here.
