Friday April 1st, Mars moves into its own sign of Aries, ready to play the April Fool just as long as something gets started. Mars stays in Aries until May 11th as well.
Sunday April 3 is the Aries New Moon, a moon open to endless possibilities for growth and finding our identities. Soon after the new Moon, the Moon opposes Saturn in Libra and then conjoins Jupiter in Aries, setting an emotional marker on these planets' earlier opposition. Then a few hours later, Mars and Uranus meet up in a potentially explosive way if you don't work with the energies. So go out and do something strenuous as well as unique; something new for your body to appreciate. Later in the day, the Sun also opposes Saturn, making us conscious of the need to concretize our big plans and not get frustrated.
Monday April 4th Neptune moves into its own watery kingdom, the sign of Pisces until it retrogrades back into Aquarius for one last time on August 4th. The energy of Imagination, the power of the Unconscious, and a new compassionate consciousness will now have its own voice. The oceans and seas and our drinking waters will be a major concern in the next 14 years. Never forget: Water is life.
Wednesday April 6th the Sun joins Jupiter, giving us a sense of greater self-confidence and possibilities.
Saturday April 9th Pluto will turn retrograde in Capricorn until September 16th, turning that evolutionary energy inward to clean house and get clear about what we've just discovered. We need to digest the dirt, corruption, hypocrisy and just plain dead weight in our social structures.
Monday April 11th, Mars in Aries squares Pluto retrograde in Capricorn, either igniting strong passions or honing our commitment to overcome obstacles. Today Jupiter and Mercury also join up, opening the mind to new ways of dealing with the obstacles.
As you can see, these two weeks around this New Moon are packed with powerful transformative energies. Stay grounded and centered and play with the energies as they come into your life. The story isn't set in stone yet!
I was going to talk about the Hero/Hera's Journey, but I seem to have run out of my space/time continuum. So I'll talk about that at the Libra Full Moon in two weeks. We'll also be telling ancient myths and stories on The Bard's Grove on Sunday mornings at blogtalk radio. Please join us this week as we talk about the Hera & Hero's Journey.
