Iowa Open Thread: Multiple Corruption Alert

By Rob Kall

Wow. Was this a clusterf*ck? I don't think so. As I write this, CNN asks, "where's Tom Perez, the head of the DNC." And yes he is missing in action. That question is perfect timing, because I don't believe this was a clusterf*ck. This was intentional. Now, there are so many reason this was good for certain parties it's hard to tell which reasons dominated. Here are some.

1- Delay the clear report of the expected Bernie Sanders victory. That will weaken Sanders' momentum going into New Hampshire.

2- Protect Joe Biden from being shown as the loser he is. And he is trying to block the release of the results even longer, which will further protect him from the powerful loser narrative that will follow him coming in, at best, in third, possibly even fourth or fifth place.

3-Sabotage the future of Iowa as the first in the nation Primary state. I'm not sure this was the plan. But the Iowa Democratic party leadership went with Shadow, the company backed by Acronym, the company in bed with the Democratic party, that built the failed(?) app that was supposed to handle the reporting of election results. No doubt, this debacle should make it certain that this massively white, conservative state should not be the first state to influence the elections. The DNC can simply declare that candidates who campaign in Iowa will not be allowed to participate in debates.

4- Acronym//Shadow apparently is scheduled to play a role in the Nevada primary. That should not happen. The stench of Acronym and Shadow should not be allowed to reach any further aspects of the 2020 primary.

5- I certainly had concerns that the results of the reporting could not be trusted, with former Clinton campaign people playing a role in the reporting app.

6- I don't trust the DNC. I don't trust state Democratic party leaders. They are arrogant party hacks who have no respect for Democracy. We should assume that they will do all they can get away with to rig the election.

7- If the Iowa caucus can be salvaged, it will be because of the use of paper records. No. I repeat NO elections should be allowed that do not include paper back-up. Imagine if this disaster had been using E-voting.

The CNN stats douche blames this on Bernie Sanders because he asked for more data to be collected

What do you think?
