A European established church could be Pantheist....

Very good read which I find myself in virtual total communion with cept Mass attendances in Ireland are certainly not so low as 4%. My experience here in Monaghan is that they have been buoyed by the Polish immigration and by the number of young married couples seeking to protect their marriage vows in a hedonistic world. Plenty of children and young adults too.
Roman Catholicism will remain essentially dogmatic and devotionalist - of necessity - in my view which is why I argue the need to head into this century back to back with the Anglican Communion as a more theocratic and democratic Church, which in Britain also weds Muslims, Buddhists and Jews as part of it's role as the established church. And I would argue Ireland should re-establish the Church of Ireland by way of reflecting more progressive secular values. But in Europe an established church would likely be Pantheist as Matthew suggests whereas in the US it would be a combination of Jude-Christian and Unitarian.
The sacred feminine has just returned in the form of woman - not all sweetness and light believe you me. Thanks for that great piece.
