Colin Powell is either complicit or too pussified to admit he was railroaded. He could easily have been our first black president, but blew his credibility in that speech and that faked war. It's doubly awkward for him that his Chief of Staff has gone public, blaming Cheney and John McGlaughlin for deliberately withholding key information from Powell as he readied his speech.
That info was the report that Curveball was an obvious fraud, but the lies from the Libyan who was tortured in Cairo were the capper. Since Lawrence Wilkerson has outed Cheney as the culprit, it put Powell in a tight place. He tried to seem outraged but won't go anywhere near calling for an investigation or justice for Cheney.
This is why the US is a strange place. The info is out - Cheney has heard Wilkerson's claims, has not denied a thing. Powell just keeps his mouth shut. Wilkerson has said he will testify. The crime would be no less than treason, lying to Congress, but most of Washington carries on like Wilkerson hasn't blown the whistle. The media won't touch the story and the public is completely in the dark...
