Kudos to Clinton

Hey there!

It seems what I said about the Democrats needing to gain the courage of the dying might actually be coming to pass. While it's true the Democrat that seems to be showing the courage most is ineligible for the White House since he served two terms there, the point remains that at long last, someone in the Democratic party is talking tough, and giving it to DUBYA just the way it needs to be given.

Bill Clinton appeared on Fox News Sunday, and officially gave it to DUBYA, and to the interviewer, Chris Wallace. Clinton defended his handling of attempts to "kill" Osama Bin laden; something that was called into question by the heinous fictionalized piece garbage called The Path To 9/11, the "docu-drama" foisted upon us by ABC, and their parent company, Disney.

In a direct quote, Mr. Clinton stated, "That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right wingers who are attacking me now." He added, "They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try."

All I can say is, "Right on, Mr. Clinton! Give it to them in large doses. Put the blame back squarely where it belongs, on the doorstep of the White House now infested with the scourge that is DUBYA and his brood of vipers!"

My only regret in all of this was I wasn't watching that show. I'd have paid money to see the look on the face of Wallace. I'd have paid even more to see a Democrat showing some real testicular fortitude! It's too bad I refuse to pollute my head with the vomitous ooze that is the Fox News Channel. I know I should know the enemy and all that, but it doesn't take a genius IQ to know that all you need to do is watch CNN or the national news and realize that most of what you are seeing and hearing is served up for mass consumption, and none of it is true.

But it didn't stop there. No. President Clinton went on to accuse Wallace of doing a "conservative hit job." He continued by asking, "I want to know how many people in the [DUBYA] administration you asked, 'Why didn't you do anything about the bombing of the Cole?' I want to know how many people you asked, 'Why did you fire Dick Clarke?'"

I'd like to know the same thing. Why is it that when a ship gets bombed in Yemen, nothing happened. There was no further effort to find out what other tricks Osama had up his sleeves. Further, when one gets a memo entitled, "Bin Laden determined to attack in America", why is that not a reason to start finding out if there is any fire associated with that smoke. Perhaps if DUBYA hadn't been on vacation so much, he might have gotten wind of the impending attacks on the World Trade Center, and maybe he'd have done something.

Oh, wait, I'm sorry. How could I forget? DUBYA had LOTS of time and plenty of warnings about the ferocity, size and possible consequences of Hurricane Katrina, and he didn't do diddly squat there either. I guess that insignificant memo about Osama wouldn't have mattered anyway. Clearing brush and cutting down trees on his Crawford ranch is so much more important than worrying about the possible loss of life that might occur from two airliners hitting the World Trade Center. Of course, that situation would give DUBYA an excellent excuse to start a war in Iraq, but I digress.

Back to Mr. Clinton. He said that he "worked hard" to get Bin Laden killed. He stated that he had contracted with people to kill [Bin Laden], and that he got closer to killing him than anyone has since.

Oh man, another slam-dunk on DUBYA. I love Clinton! I'd gladly smoke a cigar with him! I always knew here was a reason I voted for him twice! He's still got it after all these years. I hope he plans on giving his all to the Democrats for the up-coming midterms! Perhaps he'll embolden the rest of the Democrats. It would sure be nice!

Mr. Clinton also appeared on NBC's Meet The Press where he made a very good point. He said that the biggest problem confronting the world today is, "the illusion that our differences matter more than our common humanity." He continued by saying, "That's what's driving the terrorism. It's not just that there's an unresolved Arab-Israeli conflict. Osama Bin Laden and Dr. al-Zawahiri can convince young Sunni Arab men, who have - and some women - who have despairing conditions in their lives, that they get a one-way ticket to heaven in a hurry if they kill a lot of innocent people who don't share their reality."

Folks, he had me at, "hello!" All the rest was just icing on the cake!

I feel so relieved that at long last, someone from the Democratic Party is speaking to the lunacy and ineptitude that is the DUBYA regime. I truly hope that the rest of the Democrats stand next to him and show the same amount of courage he showed on these two shows. They seriously need to do just that!

There absolutely must be a change in both the House and Senate! The only way that is going to happen is for the Democrats to take off the kid gloves, kick ass, and take names. Nothing less will get the job done. Since Mr. Clinton has started the ball rolling, let's all do our parts. Let's support those Democratic candidates in our respective states, districts, and local precincts. Let's not bicker and argue about whether or not the Democrats are also eating from troughs of money from special interests.
