TAKE BACK THE VOTE
Naperville IL, August 3, 2006. The Illinois Ballot Integrity Project and the Election Defense Alliance will co-sponsor an appearance of Mark Crispin Miller, author of Fooled Again, How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They'll Steal the Next One Too. Miller will speak during the TAKE BACK THE VOTE RALLY which will take place from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 19th at the IBEW (Local 701) HALL in Warrenville - 28600 Bella Vista Parkway - Warrenville, IL, 60555. Admission to the event is FREE. Miller's remarks will be followed by a question and answer period and a book-signing session.
In addition to Miller's appearance, a Panel Discussion about the Coming Trainwreck in November will feature Bob Fitrakis of The Free Press www.Freepress.org, Bob Koehler from Tribune Media Services www.tms.tribune.com and members of the Illinois Ballot Integrity Project who will present views on voting irregularities in DuPage County and incontrovertible evidence of vote fraud in Ohio in the 2004 presidential election. The program will also feature a showing of the video, "Help America Vote . . . On Paper," a production of EON, the Ecological Options Network, www.eon3.net and Mainstreet Moms, www.themmob.org.

Dr. Miller will be speaking on the importance of reclaiming elections for the American people. In Fooled Again, Miller argues that it wasn't "moral values" that swung the 2004 presidential election, but theft - and that it's a harbinger of elections to come. Miller says that the pattern of anomalies, improper procedures and blatant violations of the law in state after state constitute the new Republican electoral strategy and that we can expect to see it employed in 2006 and 2008 if concerned citizens don't take action to prevent it from happening.
Mark Crispin Miller is a professor of media studies at New York University and a well-known author and speaker. His writings on film, television, propaganda, advertising and the culture industries have appeared in numerous journals and newspapers, including The Nation and the New York Times. He is the author of The Bush Dyslexicon: Observations on a National Disorder (2001) and Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney's New World Order (2004). A frequent commentator on TV, radio and the Internet, Miller has appeared on Frontline, The PBS Newshour, The O'Reilly Factor, Washington Journal and Bill Moyers' The Public Mind and many other television shows. He is a regular commentator on Air America, appeared often on "Morning Sedition" and "The Al Franken Show." He lives in New York City with his wife, Amy Smiley, their two sons and special cat.
Bob Fitrakis is a Political Science Professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences department at Columbus State Community College. He earned a J.D. from the Ohio State Univeristy Mortitz College of Law in 2002 and his Ph.D is in Political Science from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is the author of five Fitrakis Files books: Spooks, Nukes & Nazis, Free Byrd & Other Cries for Justice, A Schoolhouse Divided, The Brothers Voinovich and the Ohiogate Scandal and Star Wars, Weather Mods and Full Spectrum Dominance. The Illinois Ballot Integrity Project is incorporated as a not-for-profit, non-partisan civic organization, dedicated to the correction of election system deficiencies and ensuring fair, accurate, and completely transparent elections.
