Different words have different meanings. With this in mind it is possible to more effectively communicate and comprehend.
We live in confusing and confounding times. In these times it is critical to understand who is who, and what is what. We live in times which need paradigm thinking, perhaps requiring new words to explain new course, or at least new understanding of words and worlds that already are.
Freedom is tasted every so often when place and time balances in a way so as to have a tranquility to it, or whatever it is you want, or you say it is. Freedom is whatever ones wants it to be. Freedom can be wonderful and or reprehensible, you are free to make it so. Freedom is whatever I want it to be. Liberty is entirely different.
Freedom and liberty are not the same.
Liberty restrains the freedom of an individual among other individuals. If we had entire freedom I could decide to yell, 'fire!' in a public place, I could be inspired to punch someone in the face, and I could decide to act irresponsibly among my community which would influence their lives negatively and there would be no implemented consequences. In liberty we cannot just inspire terror with lies, nor implement violence, nor act against the community. Liberty is equality for all. Freedom is whatever one says it is.
There is a huge difference.
Freedom can be a wonderful feeling, liberty is the stasis which enables it.
In freedom you are free to be dumb, in liberty you must take individual responsibility including learning. Freedom is applied overtly to a minority, liberty is applied overtly to the entirely.
So when you re in a large group, indoors during a pandemic, it is your responsibility in liberty to not cough on others, sneeze on others, and further to wear a mask so that if you do, your spit is contained primarily to your mask.
