Today, about 70% of natural health product license applications are failing due to the changes in government restrictions around the world. Furthermore, the Codex Alimentarius Commission originally created in 1963 by FAO and WHO was aimed at developing food standards and health guidelines. They claim their main purpose is to protect the health of the consumers but its more recent domination by corporate interests, most notably by pharmaceutical, pesticide, biotechnology and chemical industries, implies a much more dismal outcome. The intended global implementation of the Codex on December 31, 2009, will result in an elimination of almost all natural products available on the market and even cause such restrictions of privacy and personal security that not even private uses of natural products are possible!
The reason for these changes is two-fold.
First, corporations with major interests in health insurance, pharmaceuticals,
or in intervention treatments, have infiltrated the ranks of councils responsible
for consumer protection. Among these are companies like Bayer, BASF, Monsanto,
Wyeth, Archer Daniels Midland, Eastman Chemical, Kemen, and so on. The main
priority of these corporations is
the financial profits of the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnological, and
industrial farming industries.
The second reason for
reducing natural health alternatives is to reduce the health, strength, and
willpower of the population. Between vaccinations that are intentionally laced
with toxins, diseases, and chemical poisons, contaminants placed in our water
and food supplies, ineffective medications, misinformation about health
treatments, current medical problems, and our own inclinations towards poor health
practices, the general population is doomed to a life of illness, weakness, and
submission to higher powers.
