Nuclear Proliferation Could Lead to World Peace

Gaza is one of the poorest countries in the world. It is a useless burden to any nation stupid enough to occupy it. Israel withdrew from Gaza, but surrounded it just in case. Gaza is a launching pad for Iranian rockets against Israel. She hasn't been able to stop these attacks. This was insulting, but it became dangerous when Iran upgraded the weapons to anti-tank devices and the Kassam missiles.Responding to Israeli air attacks, the Hamas has been able to strike the cities of Ashkelon and Beer Sheva 25 miles deep into Israel. Hamas hoped this tactic would inspire fear in the public and would prompt the government to accept a truce or a cease fire on terms favorable to Gaza. This remains a possible, because the officials on both sides are totally corrupt and venal bullies. The seemingly ridiculous incursion has earned international criticism because the critics have no idea of the regional situation. Israel and Pakistan are the nuclear players. Iran aspires to be one. The Israelis have a little time to determine the intentions of the other players. If they intend to use nuclear weapons on Israel, she must respond quickly.

The USA is Welcome to Assume Middle East Supremacy

Many assume Israel is greedy for more land and power. Many state that Israel continuously threatens, bullies and maneuvers, but they don't say to what end.Why did we bother to build a high wall? Why did we unilaterally withdraw from Lebanon [2000] and from Gaza [2006]? Why did we urge the territories to hold democratic elections? These actions are not typical of the tyrant grasping for anything to exploit. Why should we plot to take over a confrontation state? What's in it for us?There is one answer to all these questions. The confrontation states are a big headache and a bigger burden. Who needs 45 millions welfare lay-abouts? What could millions of sickly recipients do for our health care services? Why should our professionals spend the next 60 years putting their economic, social and legal houses in order?Who wants the aggravation? Nobody.

Electricity Trumps OPEC

With the advent of cheap electricity, the market for petroleum products will collapse. Electricity powers cars and heats homes almost without cost.Only the Americans slaughter people for oil.

Wind Turbines Trump OPEC

From America's terrible treatment of Iran, I wonder why that nation has anything to do with the USA.After cheap electricity becomes commonplace, the market for petroleum products will collapse.Israel is a natural partner for Iran in solar power applications. Israelis do business with many folks who have said they want to kill us.

Nuclear Proliferation May Bring Peace

Ironically, the development of man's most terrible weapon may have shown us a way to peace. The proliferation of nuclear capability makes the tradition of war obsolete. Men contest for land, energy resources or whatever. There are threats and the rattling of sabers. Suddenly, one of the participants begins to think. "If I win the battle, the loser can send 300 guys with suitcase atomic bombs to my country. If one of them gets within two miles of my residence, I am history. If all of them succeed, my country is history."The playing field is even and combat doesn't resolve anything. Can we sit down and reason together? If we fail resolution, we could have two armies facing one another with only two champions to do the actual fighting.

Any solution trumps war.
