After this historic first debate, I have a few reactions.

First, I forced myself to watch the debate because I like to raise my blood pressure 40 points to see if I can handle it without experiencing a stroke. It is not that I don't know both candidates and parties are controlled by banking, financial, and corporate interests but it still aggravates  the hell out of me.

But in the interests of humanity and a couple of readers I figured I would watch it and give my unbiased opinion.

The best part of the debate was when Obama and blinky John argued over saving 18 or something billion in earmarks but yet they didn't argue over giving the bankers 1, 2, or 3 trillion dollars. You see according to the masturbaters, er, I mean the master debaters, the American people are really going to have to realize that we now have to watch our spending. Obama would like to spend a little more on social programs but he will now have to be more careful on spending money to help the people. So it is completely clear from the displayed fake concern for the budget that both candidates and parties answer to financial interests that can make the government cough up trillions in a matter of a week or so. Obama can talk all he wants about Main Street but the Street he and McFool answer to is Wall Street.

I also thought another high point in the debate was when both candidates want to continue spending nearly half of your tax dollars on war. Now Obama wants to spend more of the money on Afghanistan and McCrazy wants to still spend a good amount of it on Iraq. Both candidates put the interests of Israel above the American people's interests and will go to war with Iran if that country gains the ability to make nuclear weapons. The good news is that both candidates see enemies everywhere and are going to make sure that the same corporate and financial interests that they are bailing out on Wall Street will continue to rape the American taxpayer on defense projects.

So, in fairness, Obama talked about ending corporate tax loopholes and he would like to do something about health insurance.

Now on style and presence Obama looked very Presidential. McScary on the other hand looked a bit insane. I think McGoofy was trying to capture the mannerisms and the body language of his hero Richard Nixon in that memorable debate against John Kennedy.

So there you have it. My reactions to this historic debate that occurred in the midst of the financial disaster on Wall Street. In was a waste of time but I watched it in the interests of you, my dear reader.

Just in case you watched this first debate, let me just say that I feel your pain.
