The miserably failed “humanitarian aid” delivery into Venezuela on February 23 is a major failure of the US imperialist plan.
The U.S. government thought that their puppet, Juan Guaidó, still had a chance. They made a callous bet that cruel and illegal sanctions would be enough to force the Venezuelan people to overthrow the democratically elected Maduro. They were badly wrong.
The "humanitarian" aid was a propaganda ploy. First, it was only needed because of harsh sanctions imposed by US. Second, it was to be delivered by politically- motivated USAID forces. Both the UN and even the Red Cross refused to deliver aid in the way the US had demanded.
Despite bribes and subversion by CIA, the Venezuelan army has stood behind Maduro. The US coup has failed.
