Planting trees will not end global warming because there's too much CO2 in the atmosphere

Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are so high that just planting trees won't save humans from global warming - because there isn't room on Earth to grow enough of them.There isn't enough space on Earth to plant the amount of trees required to make a dent in carbon emissions. If we planted 1.7 billion acres of trees, we could remove 3 billion tons of atmospheric carbon a year  - ten percent of what humans emit annually.
