I was born and raised in California and now reside near Washington, D.C. I have been an independent consultant for the past 17 years working around the world on the structuring and financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, programs, and policies. I took a break from consulting to take a Clinton White House appointment at the Department of Energy's policy office. Previously, I was a professional staff member of the oversight & investigations subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives' Resources Committee and was a senior analyst in the City of Portland, Oregon energy office.
