Georges Daire writes book reviews and poetry. He has taught at liberal arts colleges and universities for more than twenty-five year, and takes an active interest in American politics as it affects the prospects of the younger generation, both because he remains in contact with young people who are struggling more and more to find their place in the world, and because he now has two grandsons, three and two, who deserve to grow up in a nation that could be as great as it once was.

He has taught philosophy, history, political philosophy, mathematics, science, literature, ancient Greek, nineteenth-century French poetry, and music. As a result of his wide-ranging studies, he has concluded that modern Liberalism is the true heir of the western intellectual tradition, whereas Conservatism, which pretends to be that heir, is merely a thin mask for anti-social selfishness.
