Sleeping Through the TPP Coup: Why a Trans-National Corporate Power Grab That Hurts Almost Everyone Is Arousing So Little Outcry (6 articles)
This series begins by introducing the Trans Pacific Partnership 'trade deal' scam and the undemocratic process by which its supporters are seeking to sneak it through Congress. After laying out some avenues for activism, I examine, from a social psychological perspective, the possible reasons for the current weakness of organized opposition to the deal. Finally I propose some strategies for being an exception to these social psychological rules, and taking a more effective stand against this attempted corporate coup.
The series is divided into five parts.

The Scandalous "Teachable Ethics Scandal" Retraction (3 articles)
These are various articles related to the article by Mitchell Handelsman, 'A Teachable Ethics Scandal', which was published in June in Teaching of Psychology, but has since been targeted for retraction--a matter still under review by SAGE publishers at the time of writing. The retraction appears to have been urged by former APA President Gerald Koocher who has co-authored academic work and otherwise coordinated on ethics matters with Stephen Behnke (pictured above). Behnke is the psychologist who was ousted from the American Psychological Association in the wake of the psychologists-in-torture scandal. Behnke and four others named in the report of the APA's internal investigation of its collusion (called the Hoffman Report) have since filed a legal complaint against the APA, against Hoffman's law firm, and against fifty other unnamed 'John or Jane Does.'
