Rupert Murdoch's Newscorp, the owners of Fox, the Wall Street Journal and numerous other news outlets in the US, the dominant force in UK and Australian newspapers, is moving into books. They have HarperCollins and are looking to take over Britain's Penguin. Is it a coincidence that Penguin has an unauthorized biography of Murdoch on their current list?
Newscorp will likely pledge noninterference with editorial policy.
Right. They did that when they took over the Wall Street Journal and the Times of London. Take a look and decide if they kept the pledge.
