George Gaasvig graduated with honors from Bemidji State University in Minnesota, with degrees in business administration and industrial technology. He has had a long career working in government, retail, consulting, and construction, and he is also a certified property manager. He has served on national committees in the field of public and Indian housing and has provided written testimony as well as testified before congressional committees. He has not only submitted reports for publication in congressional committee reports and the Congressional Record, but he has also participated in the creation of federal legislation and regulations.
