Mr. Pottenger is an independent researcher and writer living in the state of Oregon, U.S.A. He is a graduate of history at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is co-author (with Tim Klempay) of a photo-memoir entitled "Cuba's Threshold: Culture, Streets, and Tourism After Castro" (Gallo Crow Publishing, 2007), documenting their time spent on the island in January, 2007.
