Prior to forming Spagna Dunn Research, Mr. Spagna was Chief Operating Officer of Market Facts, one of the largest research companies in the world. When Mr. Spagna joined Market Facts, it was a $5 million dollar company. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Spagna was responsible for all marketing activities and had thirty-three Vice Presidents reporting to him. At Market Facts, Mr. Spagna worked with virtually all Fortune 500 client companies. When Mr. Spagna left Market Facts to form his own company, he was the largest individual stock holder of the company. In 1999, Market Facts was sold for over $180 million dollars. The company is now called Synovate.

In his last thirty years, Mr. Spagna has concentrated on financial research and was responsible for the development of Mail Monitor, a product which has become standard in the industry for measuring new credit card solicitation and response rates. He also created and developed Payment Method Monitor ™, another state-of-the-art, syndicated, on-going system that identifies, tracks and measures people’s spending behavior, especially as their payment method relates to credit card purchases.

Mr. Spagna’s academic and professional background includes nearly thirty-five years of high-level work in statistics, survey design, research management and marketing. He holds a BA in Business and an MBA in Statistics from Baruch College – The City College of New York.

Mr. Spagna has authored a number of articles on his field of endeavor. He has been an occasional speaker at trade associations, and his favorite topic concerns “Passion and Truth in Business.”
