For the past eight years I have been live in New York. Prior to living in New York I lived in Seattle. In November 1999 I arrived in Seattle, a week before the 'Battle in Seattle'. I arrived in Seattle from South-Africa, where I am from. In Seattle I briefly taught an introductory course in Philosophy at the Seattle Community College. Thereafter worked mainly as a substitute teacher. In my humble capacity as youth-member of the United Democratic Front, in South-Africa - I helped free South-Africa from apartheid. After my University of the Western Cape education I became a high school teacher and trade-unionist with COSATU/SADTU. Unfortunately - Nelson Mandela was considered an international terrorist by the State Department, until 1 July 2008. My career in the USA have been covertly and severely impacted by the above-mentioned reality of which I was blissfully unaware until now.
