I am an 80 year old retired designer and developer of computers and computer systems. I started in the field when when internal memories were on drums, moved to magnetic cores and eventually to chips. I'm a co-holder of patents on a version of cache memories and was responsible for the development of a hand held computer with a touch screen more than 30 years ago. I was also on the committee that developed the ASCII code. Since retiring I've had an historical novel puplished about art stolen from the Jews during the WWII, and am now busilly engaged in tutoring 6th grade math students and being president of a community concert organization. I'm active in the local chapter of the World Affairs Council and occasionally give talks there on world events. I've been actively involved in politics all my life and at one time was president of the local Democratic Club. I've been married for 56 years and have 3 children, all boys, and 3 grandchildren, a boy and 2 girls. I'm pationate about furthering peace and justice in the world.

Barack Obama, Proven Commander in Chief

A primary election campaign is not unlike a war. In this battle for delegates, Barack Obama has proven himself to be the best "Commander in Chief". From the outset he knew what his strategic objective was. He organized the best strategy to achieve that objective, His speeches inspired his troops to give 110 percent of themselves and he never had to have his red (ink) phone ring at 3AM, or any other time.

Not hit since 9/11, So?

I am tired of hearing how we have not been hit by terrorists, on our soil, since 9/11 and that George W. Bush should get credit for it. The significance of the statement, is that John McCain's expertise in foreign affairs and how he would handle whatever may come up, will be as resolute as was the action by W., and this will result in similar safety for Americans.
