Only an estimated 40,000 people live at this place near Wounded Knee Creek, S.D. With an 80 percent unemployment rate, an annual number of 500 children on the Pine Ridge Oglala-Lakota Sioux reservation attempting suicide, rampant alcoholism, and one in four children born on this reservation affected by birth defects associated with alcoholism, this is one of the most distressed and disadvantaged areas of the U.S.A. "Watching this video is just sad!," says James Magaska Swan, an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, another Lakota tribe, and leader of the United Urban Warrior Society. "I don't normally pay much attention to 'Poverty Porn' But this video covers a lot of issues! and this story needs to be told and shared!"
