I was in Indiana not long ago and the good citizens were having a party by throwing tea in the canal downtown. They weren’t happy about a rise in their property taxes and sought to let their leaders in on that fact.
To really drive their point home, they carried their little afternoon tea session across the state with such enthusiasm, that the Governor intervened and decided to hold the tax express up at the station.
I wasn’t in the meeting with the Guv, but I reckon his decision was partially based on his advisor’s conveying, that with present sentiment in tact, a run at the dog catcher position was a long shot.
What we witnessed here was the renewed and glorious practice of Democracy in this once great Republic. I for one, was nearly ecstatic over these folks display of civil liberties (by using the little known rule in IRS (Indiana revised statutes) Volume 2, section 3, paragraph 10, which states, “If enough people get together, they can tell the Governor where to shove it).” Or something really close to that.
The same statute is embedded in the Constitution and it doesn’t say, “A vote against the dumb ass from one party is a vote for the dumb ass in the other party.” It says you can vote for anyone that you want to. The two dumb asses made up that other rule, which really isn’t a rule, it’s just dumb.
I know I sound like a parrot, but I’ll take the risk and once more say, Middle America better elect their own leader real soon, or they’ll have your picture up in the museum in the extinct animal hall.
Would everyone who thinks that the top tier candidates will change things for the better of the Middle Class please hold up your hand? Rudy, Hillary, you can’t vote on this, please put your hand down.
Please take a look at Ron Paul. He may not be the perfect candidate, okay, he’s not the perfect candidate, but for Middle America to survive, he may be the only choice that has the cross over votes to get the job done.
I saw a clip this morning of the most likable candidates, Rudy on the far right, and Barrack on the far left. No mention of Ron Paul in the entire piece. Heck even ol’ Fred Thompson got honorable mention.
I also saw a great yard sign that was prominently displayed across the Hoosier State, it read; “DON’T RE-ELECT ANYONE,” I think I like it.
They have the main stream news, we have the votes and the on-line news. Use them both with all the vigor you can muster.
Wake up Middle America, this is your final boarding call.
