The new security plan for Iraq is up and running. So far, its measures against the tribal killings and suicide bombs destroying Baghdad inch by inch have had no affect.
Actually, the new security plan looks a lot like the old one, with a combination of US and Iraqi military troops patrolling the streets of the capital city, and guarding checkpoints into sensitive areas holding up traffic for hours. The plan was presented by the former ally of cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who has sold his soul to the great Satan of the United States.
Prime Minister al-Maliki acknowledges stumbling in his effort to carry out the plan, and that the delays and mounting violence is hurting its credibility with the Iraqi people. But this admission hasn't stopped the endless stream of bullshit falling from the mouths of American military commanders in Iraq. "The implementation of the (Iraqi) prime minister's plan has already begun and will be fully implemented at a later date, having all the parts and pieces that he wants," General William Caldwell told a news briefing.
Gee, wouldn't it be nice if the Prime Minister and American military personnel could at least be on the same page about this program?
In the meantime, another U.S. helicopter was downed by an anti-aircraft missile in Baghdad today, killing all seven people aboard. I guess we're all just supposed to close our eyes to these tragedies, get behind Bush Administration apologists like General Caldwell, and "root, root, root for the home team!"
President Bush hasn't figured out yet that Allah has got the upper hand in Iraq, and Allah is wielding a 'terrible swift sword' against our troops and those who support the American occupation. Keep in mind that many of the attacks on Shiite's, Sunni's or American military are happening within feet of the ubiquitous 'Green Zone'. It's the little haven for big wig civilian and military folk working furiously to make Iraq a compliant little backwater enticed by fast food jobs while the US ensures the free flow of oil from their country. It won't be terribly long before Allah makes his way past the big gates into this little oasis and blows it to smithereens as well.
Because if there's one thing Allah can't stand, it's the constant meddling of the West into the affairs of His adherents. And when it comes to retaliation, the wussie Western God just can't compete anymore. The way Allah looks at it, you take two of ours, and He'll take fifteen of yours. He knows that's the only way to get the idiotic Christian sects to leave His people the f*ck alone.
Unfortunately, the explosions of anger Allah is dropping in Iraq and Afghanistan continues to be ignored by Bush and the newly elected American Congress. Bush deludes himself into believing that more young American deaths in Iraq will somehow make his mission clearer to the U.S. electorate. Congress is wringing their hands about whether they should risk political capital and de-fund the war effort. In the meantime, Allah is contemplating even larger attacks to knock some sense into the empty heads of Western politico's.
The Bush Administration, the military and Congress have got to get the clue, and pull our collective ass out of the Near East. Anything less will continue to feed the violence they all supposedly abhor.
