There are about to be thousands of mothers, daughters, brothers, fathers, uncles, aunts and friends who are all going to want to know why it took till Wednesday for George W Bush to mobilize the National Guard.
When it becomes obvious that people died in their attics after having survived the hurricane, people are going to want to know why in heck we didn't pull the trigger immediately instead of waiting 72 hours to move in troops, helicopters, ships, nurses etc. etc. etc.
When it becomes obvious that marauders killed people because the National Guard wasn't there to protect them, people are going to be angry.
When people find out that Bush and his fellow Republicans denied money requested to fix the levies, people are going to be angry.
Did Bush cause Katrina? Nope. Don't be stupid.
Did Bush come in a day late and a dollar short? You bet your sweet bippy he did.
Here's hoping that he decides to go over board now to redress his bad decisions.
Here's hoping that as he stands there in front of our devastated coast claiming he's the "hurricane president" that we all give him the raspberry he so deserves.
