Mujahadeen meet president Ronald Reagan by White House, US Goverment (public domain)
The Boston Marathon bombings are going to be covered up and obfuscated such that we may never know the truth. That's a hell of lot like the 9/11 attacks, come to think of it, and similarities are real. It should be glaringly obvious by now to anyone who's looked at the anomalies that there is something rotten in Boston, and that the FBI's incompetence defense -- after being directly warned about Tamerlan Tsarnaev by the Russian government -- doesn't pass the laugh test.
Unfortunately 90%+ of Americans have no idea whatsoever what their government actually does around the world, and with whom. In a "democracy" that's a recipe for disaster, and perhaps the collapse of US democracy is a foregone conclusion. Americans are notably not taught modern history in their secondary educations. They are therefore at the mercy of the corporate media for the most part to form their views about the world outside US borders. To say that corporate media is censored is an understatement, which can easily be bolstered by a quick click over to the Project Censored website.
Several quasi-official "stories" are now emerging regarding the two Chechen brothers accused of bombing the 2013 Boston Marathon. The first is the simplistic one-dimensional they hate America because of radicalization story. That is what half the population or more will be satisfied with. The second tale is that the two brothers were CIA assets permitted to go back to Dagestan and Chechnya in order to spy on their Islamic brothers and perhaps funnel (Saudi) money and arms to them for the purpose of destabilizing these provinces of Russia. The two assets allegedly then went off the reservation and tricked their US handlers in order to blow up a few Americans. This second story is useful to tell low-level government people who know more about the case than the average rube. For all we know, it could be true, except for the other anomalies surrounding the Boston bombing itself.
While version two is within the realm of the plausible (version one isn't), it seems far more likely that these marathon bombing plans were known to some US authorities beforehand, and that they failed to stop these perpetrators, possibly by choice.
It is inconceivable to US general audiences that their own high level protectors might not act in their interests at all times, but it is certainly not without precedent. Anyone who has stumbled across Operation Northwoods or Operation Gladio and the "Strategy of Tension" knows how US warmongers think. By the way, you are not allowed to talk about these matters on corporate media, so no TV, no commercial radio, and a whole lot of so-called "alternative" website editors don't want to hear about this material either. But seeing how the world is now in the perpetual grip of the "strategy of tension," particularly since 9/11, this understanding is vital.
My opening sentence, "we may never know the truth' also happens to be the determination of the Israeli intelligence website Debkafile.
"Our intelligence sources say that we may never know more than we do today about the Boston terrorist outrage which shook America -- and most strikingly, Washington - this week. We may not have the full story of when and how the Chechen brothers were recruited by US intelligence as penetration agents -- any more than we have got to the bottom of tales of other American double agents who turned coat and bit their recruiters."
This Israeli assessment flows logically from Tamerlan Tsarnaev's odd treatment by FBI and his recent trips to Dagestan and Chechnya. Possibly related is if Tamerlan was working undercover for FBI here in the US, as are nearly 15,000 paid informants:
"The [FBI] has developed a network of nearly 15,000 spies to infiltrate various communities in an attempt to uncover terrorist plots. However, these moles are actually assisting and encouraging people to commit crimes. Many informants receive cash rewards of up to $100,000 per case." --Project CensoredAccording to a British report from TV Channel 4 Tamerlan Tsarnaev was phoned by the FBI after the bombings yet before he was named publicly as an official suspect, according to his father. "That's your problem."
What stands out as shocking is Tamerlan's alleged response to this FBI phone call, as relayed to his mother and then to his father.
"Mr Tsarnaev [father] was speaking by telephone to Channel 4 News filmmaker Nick Sturdee, who is in Makhachkala, Dagestan. The father said Tamerlan contacted his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, two or three days after the bombing. Tamerlan told her the FBI had just rung him and accused him of being behind the attacks, and that he had responded by saying "that's your problem', Mr Tsarnaev claims."
If true, then what accounts for Tamerlan's tip off by the FBI, and even more odd, his cocky Hollywood response to the FBI: "That's your problem?" Certainly the idea that Tamerlan was "on the payroll" jumps immediately to mind. If Tamerlan was working undercover for FBI, then this may go a ways to explain why he wasn't worried about being named (wrong as he was in his assessment). Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds has also been following the Boston stories as they emerge. In a fascinating talk on RT, Sibel reiterates what is known about those so-called "friends" of Chechnya, the neocon DC lobbyists:
"There is a Chechen lobby group " established by " James Woolsey " the former CIA director " Bruce Jackson, former military intelligence officer and then later the president of US Committee on NATO. You're looking at Frank Gaffney You're looking at Richard Perle, the infamous Richard Perle. People like Michael Ledeen, you look at -- this is not even a nation. This is Russian territory."
Former FBI attorney Coleen Rowley has also written on these neocons who front for Chechen independence in DC.
"Author John Laughland wrote: "the leading group which pleads the Chechen cause is the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). The list of the self-styled "distinguished Americans' who are its members is a roll call of the most prominent neoconservatives who so enthusiastically support the "war on terror.'"
Rowley cites a 2004 Guardian article that reveled more of the machinations to destabilize Russia, "The Chechens' American friends: The Washington neocons' commitment to the war on terror evaporates in Chechnya, whose cause they have made their own." Sibel Edmonds was a translator at the FBI, who volunteered to help after the horrific 9/11 attacks. What she saw there, however, opened her eyes and made her a dangerous liability to US intelligence operations in the Caucuses and Middle East. Sibel says:\
"We, the American government, through our military, CIA operations, military operations, we have been creating, arming, training, directing various faction within the region, Central Asia and Caucuses and that includes the area Chechnya and Dagestan. A lot of weapons that gets to be shipped to Turkey, it is shipped there with the intention, they call it "false end user certificate'. The recipient may appear as "Turkey', but actually the weapons are smuggled and taken to the rebels in Chechnya, other rebel Islamic factions within the central Asia""US support for Islamic radical factions stems at least back to 1979, when the Afghan Mujahadeen was armed, trained and funded to destabilize Afghanistan, a Soviet ally. When the Soviets entered to assist the besieged Afghan government, the US undertook a massive intelligence operation called Operation Cyclone to recruit radical Islamic Jihadis from all over the Muslim world. Using US and gulf oil state money and Pakistani covert intelligence assistance this operation succeeded. It is still "succeeding" today, depending upon one's perspective. The question that America's corporate mind management isn't allowed to ask is: How do the Tsarnaev brothers really fit into this foreign policy game?
