They're Putting Together A Committee!

By       (Page 1 of 2 pages)   No comments

"Exemplary people concern themselves with virtue, small people concern themselves with territory. The ruling class thinks of punishment, the lower classes hope for benevolence."

- Confucius

The Daily Californian's January 29th edition headline reads, "Homeless Problem Persists."  Okay, aside from someone ripping my words for their column, I notice the same not-getting-it Crowd using the same not-getting-it Jargon.

"Councilmember Jesse Arreguin will propose a Compassionate Sidewalks Plan at Tuesday's council meeting, which recommends that a committee be formed to focus on the causes of homelessness, evaluate existing homeless services and then pinpoint areas of improvement.

"The issue, however, has been identifying just exactly what the 'problem' is and who is causing it."

Okay... big problems right off the bat with the wording.  All of it, in fact.  Well, not the name, title, and obviously phony platitudes.  Enough of that already.  You can call it an "Apple" if you like, it's still not changing anything.  Yeah, the thinking... if the title of something is the problem, we have bigger problems, don't we.

The quote, "recommends that a committee be formed to focus on the 'causes of homelessness'" is ludicrous on its face.  Okay... form your "committee" and do what I can already tell you: the "causes of homelessness" vary.  Economics plays a key factor.  Corruption in government at the highest (and local) levels and those in denial who blindly go on as though nothing is happening is a factor.  Prejudice and the continued moral beating and stigma created by those unenlightened souls claiming to be our friends is also a factor.  Not the correct-type services and corruption of already existing services and the allocation of city monies being pushed into the incorrect areas is also a factor.

Pretending to address homelessness while politicking... is part of it, too.

This "problem" did not just pop out of the ground this past year, everyone.  This has been a systematic destroying of a middle class in this nation by Big Business Bully-Boy Bankers and other Corporate (Pharmaceutical) Masters who control this nation's Corporate Whores and World Economies.  This isn't even a conspiracy theory because we know it as fact... unless you watch FOX NEWS.  Now it just becomes a matter of being complicit with the Criminal Enterprise that has taken over our nation.  The Constitution of the United States of America states that if tyrants, foreign or domestic, have taken over our nation, it is our solemn sworn duty to fight against that force... that, to be complicit to it is Treasonous, in fact.

But I digress.

Then there is this quote,

"The issue, however, has been identifying just exactly what the 'problem' is and who is causing it"... um, what?!

The problem is DENIAL.

And, "who is causing it"...?

You see what we are dealing with here, everyone?

"'In the behavior that Measure S was trying to address, the majority of people were not homeless,' said Roland Peterson, executive director of the Telegraph Business Improvement District."
