Article: Sedition is Coming to a Town Near You: The Potential Domestic White "Christian" Terrorists in Our Midst are Ready

Through the confused feeling of progressives about a White House that has confounded expectations and tipped corporatist, we appear to be underestimating a serious and real threat to our nation: sedition, violence and assassinations.

As I wrote when the latest seditionists were arrested, members of a so-called "Christian" militia, "Send Them to Guantanamo: Double Standard on White Christian Domestic Terrorists is a Direct Threat to the U.S.," the right wing media -- especially the FOX Fraudcasting and treasonous network -- the GOP, the likes of Dick Armey, some religious right groups, Aryan nation cells, the Tea Party, and Neo-Confederacy advocates, have poured the gasoline on our Constitutional democracy and lit the matches. They are the same threat as Al-Qaeda, perhaps a more serious one, because they operate from within the United States and are urged on by the right wing corporate media.

Those Americans loyal to legitimate governance proceed at peril to our nation if you dismiss these seditionists as one or two people. In the last year, we have had everything from mass shootings by individuals who were schooled by right wing media celebrity books, to the assassination of an abortionist, to a tripling of threats on members of Congress, to two recent arrests for threats on the life of Nancy Pelosi and Senator Patty Murray, to two seditionists arrested in separate incidents in Texas for plotting explosions and killings to open threats of rebellion at Tea Party rallies by seditionists and elected official seditionists from Congress, to a recharged gun movement (including the open carrying of handguns), and so much more.

This isn't a parlor game; it's a nascent stage of sedition: the open and violent challenge to a legitimate government.

When the likes of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh challenge the validity of the U.S. government (it began with the "birther" movement, claiming that Obama was illegitimately in the White House), along with virtually the entire FOX propaganda and seditious network, we have what amounts to the beginning of an insurrection. The Neo-Confederates have also been given license to come out of the woodwork and join with the Sarah Palin (who put rifle sights on congressional representatives she is personally targeting in 2010) religious types (she was chosen as a "spiritual warrior for God" to take control of as much government as possible in order to "return" it to white Christian hands for the purposes of the "Lord") are primed to refight the Civil War. When they talk about an American government that has been "stolen," they are talking code for a pluralistic democracy that they defy and of which they do not approve if it doesn't lead to the election of white Christians.

Challenging the legitimacy of a government to rule is the most basic form of sedition. Violence comes from an uprising of those who believe, with each passing day, that they are living under an "oppressive" form of government, and hearing that confirmed from their favorite right wing talkers and politicians. If the Democrats manage to miraculously hold onto Congress in 2010, watch for the violent outbreaks of sedition to increase -- and a return to the assassination attempts (God hopes that they do not succeed) which rocked the positive social changes of the '60s and ended with Nixon in the White House and the redefining of America from the New Deal to the Raw Deal of the GOP, as we ended up with the "Reagan Revolution."

We had a Supreme Court coup that year that put a man in the White House who was never elected in 2000, but the current seditionists never talk about the illegitimacy of the Bush/Cheney government, because Bush and Cheney were white "Christian" males who went around killing whomever they liked abroad, just like the myth of the white "Christian" male conquering the heathens (ask Native Americans about that one).

Sedition is upon us, and there are few countervailing voices of reason to dampen it down and preserve our Constitutional form of government -- a democracy.

Those who don't take it seriously risk the future of this nation, and the blood of many good men and women.

Remember Timothy McVeigh? There are tens of thousands of white "Christian" males out there now, potential and actual domestic terrorists in our midst.
