The "Stupak on Steroids" bill just passed out of a key committee.
This bill is extreme: it manipulates the tax code to advance the anti-choice agenda.
Contact your member of Congress to oppose this outrageous attack.
Moments ago, a key committee in the U.S. House of Representatives passed the "Stupak on Steroids" bill.
You remember H.R.3, right? That's one of the bills where they tried to redefine rape. It's truly awful for women.
It manipulates the tax code to advance the anti-choice agenda.
The bill also contains the same Stupak-Pitts abortion-coverage ban that you helped to defeat last year, which could jeopardize the availability of private-insurance coverage across the country.
Our pro-choice allies in Congress did everything they could to stop this bill. They even tried to make several changes to the legislation.
But our opponents are so extreme, they even voted down an amendment offered by Rep. Judy Chu that would have made sure hospitals provide abortion care to women who would die without it.
I know we're asking you to do a lot these days, but these anti-choice politicians are out of control. The worst thing we can do is let their attacks go unanswered.
Please send an email to your member of Congress and ask him or her to oppose H.R.3.
Your action today is so important. Because of supporters like you, we are standing up to efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and take away women's access to birth control and critical reproductive-health care services.
Your voice makes a difference. Please, take action now.
