This research explores 9/11 in relationship to Social Psychology and provides information, which will hopefully; spur readers to examine further research or call for an independent investigation of this tragic incident.

A subsequent CNN poll indicates that 90% of Americans believe 9/11 "was an inside job (CNN Poll, infowars.com, 2004) and it becomes tiring to read Psychology books used at school, presenting only one side of the history and accepting possible government cover up. The minority here has become the majority.

Follow up research by leading scientists have discovered the presence of active thermite, an explosive device used in demolition, yet the case seems to be an open and shut case, with no further government investigation pending. It appears that most people usually just accept authority as legitimate and lawful. "If the commander-in-chief tells the lieutenant colonel to go stand in the corner and sit on his head, I will do so (Myers, D.G., 2009, North, O., 1987, page 201). If the government report says 9/11 happened the way it is, then Psychologists are going to continue to hammer this belief in universities. People should be taught to think for themselves and uncover facts through their own research. Group polarization strengthens members tendencies so that there is "not a split within the group , resulting in "intensifying opinions (Myers, D.G., 2009, page S-5, 276-284).
Here is further evidence in America being split over 9/11. The result of the 9/11 incident has been instrumental in prejudice against the Arab world (Myers, D.G., 2009, page 301, chapter 9). Finally, reactance, which is a scenario "which threatens our freedom of action (Myers, D.G., 2009, page 218, 559, S-9). Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. In conclusion, why should one believe a President whose grandfather associated with National Socialists?
