• On 1^st of December 2005 he was unanimously elected by the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem as Archbishop of Sebaste. On 24^th of December 2005 his investiture was celebrated in the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
