5) Bill Clinton steals Hillary's limelight – Telegraph.co.uk
Is the above more Billary Race Area Code? No. This was a quote from an Obama supporter in Amherst, New Hampshire. Here is the full quote:"What I heard … was an articulate vision for where this country ought to go," he said. "What I saw … was an articulate set of policy proposals....”
“Scott Rabiet, 45, a museum exhibits designer, had seen Mr. Obama before the Bill Clinton event day and had been struck by the contrast. ‘What I heard at the Obama event was an articulate vision for where this country ought to go,’ he said. ‘What I saw here was an articulate set of policy proposals....Obama does it for me. Hillary makes a great senator.’"
Meanwhile, back in the Colonies, let’s look at an indigenous type who should know better:
6) Alex Beam article Boston.com Dec. 17 2007
“Right now, Michelle Obama is the best in the business. Smart, accomplished, articulate, and capable of projecting empathy, she moves the Obama campaign forward with every appearance.”
Aha! We all know what’s going on here… cue sirens, cue flashing red light. Wait. Kill the sirens, douse the flashing light. Turns out Beam’s article, Diagnosis: Clinton Fatigue was picked up and displayed prominently on an expensive-looking web site entitled “The Hillary Project: Reporting the news about Hillary Clinton that the media refuses [sic] to.”
Forget the questionable grammar and the dangling infinitive. What this Hillary-hating site was loving were the Beamisms directed at Bill. He makes clear that his beef is not with her. God forbid:
“I'm not talking about Mrs. Clinton, Hillary Clinton, [Beam’s link – try it!] Senator Clinton, Hillary Rodham, or whatever she is choosing to call herself for this news cycle. She's no different from every intelligent, overachieving, soulless corporate lawyer I've ever known. She's far from boring, and as unprincipled as she needs to be…”
