As a result, no one should be surprised to see that the idealized versions of the Republican's unbridled Ayn Rand's Objectivist capitalist revolution is designed to take us right back to the equivalent of the Southern slave plantations. Only this time, it will not just be blacks "cracking hoes" in the plantation fields.
The way the author put it is that the Wal-Martization of American cities, is just the tip of an iceberg that can already be seen around our new globalized world. In particular he points to the structure of the economies of two of the best examples provided to date: Saipan and Bantustan, two already successfully globalized and re-plantationized nations. The reader will not wish to miss reading about how these nations were re-colonized via globalization strategies into Southern style plantations, run off-shore by faceless entrepreneurs. Now, they both look exactly like slave plantations did in the US in 1835.
In each of these cases, stripped of its mean-spirited conservative rhetorical cover, effectively, Wal-Mart, Saipan, and Bantustan look exactly like what they are: Ayn Rand's Objectivist Libertarian slave plantations, run by slave-drivers like Tom Delay, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Dick Cheney, Dick Armey, and Jack Abramoff, our number one Libertarian/Tea Party/Republican politicians. They of course are our "job creators extraordinaire," presiding over the rest of us: the worthless, restless dead weight -- perpetually looking for "free stuff" from the one-percent.
While the democrats just turn their heads away in a fog of self-deception about race, and allow their racist Republican/Tea Party/Libertarian opponents to set the nation's agenda and otherwise do the dirty work of continuing to advance the causes of America highest unacknowledged value: racism. The Republicans are allowed to just continue strip-mining our psyches, deeper and deeper into the undercurrents of America's deep reservoir of racist politics.
Unless and until their racist free market revolution is stopped, we are looking at an unstoppable emotional train huffing and puffing down a well-trod fascist track, one that looks very much like prewar Nazi Germany. It is a train that once it is allowed to gather enough emotional steam, is well neigh irresistible and unstoppable in a profoundly racist society.
Oddly, now, even Democrats are beginning to believe that there is something to Paul Ryan's Ayn Rand nonsense? Why else would they be trying to split this immoral baby in half and meet Ryan half way? It is nonsense that has now acquired tsunami level strength and intensity. However, for anyone who cares to inspect it, Ryan's real appeal is mostly sublimated racism, the kind mined from deep within the undercurrents of the American psyche, and little else.
While Paul Ryan is huffing and puffing down the fascist train tracks, Democrats are still trying to pretend not to know why the Republicans are "picking on" their self-anointed, "black prince?"
Donald Trump and the Tea party say it is because our president is illegitimate, both by birth and as a citizen? They want his birth certificate to prove this? They say he is a closet pal of revolutionary mystery men? That he is a Muslim? No one ever mentioned that the color of his skin might have had something to do with these irrational and otherwise unexplainable attacks?
No, they don't want his birth certificate: They wanted, and have already gotten his manhood -- those two little round objects just below his waistline? If not for reasons of race, why else would they hound our first Republican-lite mulatto President, who throughout most of his full two terms, has only "posed" as a faux progressive: a Republican in Democratic sheepskin. After all, Mr. Obama is such a nice "un-angry" black guy, whose favorite political hero is Ronald Reagan. How could anyone (who is not a part of his base), really dislike him?
