But I also hope that as you read over these traits that you recognized plenty of prominent pundits, politicians and preachers who show significant signs of sociopathy, self-worship and sustained histrionics.
Classical hysterical sociopathic Narcissists generally start out as children. However, fame and fortune can cause some normal adults to become self-absorbed and self-serving jerks who are willing to do anything to get attention and get ahead.
We need to ask what is it about our way of life that rewards people for being greedy, predatory and vicious. Of course not all pundits, politicians and preachers have them but given the remarkable number of the 3Ps that do have multiple negative character traits, do we have a system which breeds maladaptive behavior? Behavior, which I might add, mocks traditional American and real Christian values.
Then again, a nation operating on the principles of ?In Greed We Trust? and ?One Nation Under Greed? mass produces narcissistic and sociopathic pundits and politicians who are corrupt and as contemptible as they are contemptuous. What do you expect when you have preachers brainwashing that it?s all about getting all you can here on earth as in heaven? As to dealing with the Narcissists of the unholy trinity of big business, big government and big religion, truth is still the best intervention. For starters, they have to be called what they are: wolves masquerading as sheep. All these false Christians and conservatives need to have their disguises lovingly and joyfully ripped right off.
