I also realize that ecstasy is NOT going to happen until you are ready. Babies don't walk and talk until they are at a certain level of maturation.
Ecstasy is the experience of the Whole in which the within and without converge as one. (Have you ever felt that deep melting in lovemaking?) In my personal experience, there is a point at which one experiences an ability to drop the body at will. Try it sometime. It'll take time due to your conditioning. (For me, its fear. When I got taste of this state of being, it scared the living hell out of me. I literally knew I could drop the body at will. The decision was mine. All mine).
If you tap into this, you'll find what appears inward is outward and what is outward is inward. It is there you tap into Cosmic Mind: Nature's Wisdom. In the Hindu Brahminic religions, this is the state where a practitioner says, "I and Thou maintain for a while until maturity is reached. Then, there is only Thou."
It's not God that's an illusion. It's us. We are participants in Natures play. In Hindu, this is called "Maya."
If you ask me about techniques to enter this state, I would say techniques have never worked for me. What has worked is a letting go and being receptive to when the time is right.
It's like the Beatle's song, "Within and Without You" which was on the Sgt Peppers album. I would guess the LSD helped John Lennon realize that. Acid like other psychadelics make you question what you think is reality. Indeed, it teaches that our mindset is deeply involved in creation. An objective observer seeing the world as it is speaks to an illusion.
Perhaps the reasoning of Nature is that Nature is multi-dimensional so you need the multi-dimensional minds (both states and across people and other creatures) to focus in on the multiplicity of Nature.
More than Creator and Creation, Mother is pure Creativity states the Hindu mystic Ramakrishna .
