Seventh Generation offers environmentally friendly paper goods and cleaning products, with high recycled content, biodegradable ingredients and recycled/recyclable packaging. Though once available only through a catalog and web site, local chains are now carrying their products, in response to customer demand.
My neighbor Laura, found that the local grocery was frequently out of her favorite Chai. Knowing many of the cashiers and managers by name, she brought this to their attention, noting that a competing grocery was never out this brand. They responded immediately, first buying a case from the competing grocery to make sure that the item was immediately restocked, and then modifying their inventory practices.
