According to a friend who's lived in the City by the Bay for years, lots of kookie stuff happens there. No one cares; no one pays attention. Besides, it's almost Hallowe'en and gaudy costumes and garish masks rule the season.
That seemed to be the emphasis of the article. Most of the reader comments sided with "enh, this is nothing" and against O'Reilly's position.
Many of the commentors defended the Sisters who weren't happy with O'Reilly turning this into a cultural and political food fight, and described them as bringing "fun and humor" to San Francisco while raising "money for charity."
So much for Bill-O's fire and damnation zeal aimed at members of a gay coalition in San Francisco, the church not defending itself, and where are the recriminations against those who defame Christians?
The two protestors were obviously Catholics or they wouldn't have taken communion.
What happened to the right to peacefully protest those with whom we disagree? I suppose that if they'd entered the church naked instead of costumed to make their point, Bill would also have found that offensive and an affront to the church and his god.
But, Bill, aren't we all "God's" children and don't we all come into the world naked? Why would "God" take offense at that, or at peacefully protesting what other "God's" children are doing with the free will "He" gave "His" children? You can't have it both way. Last time we looked, you're not "God."
Giving Fox News too much credit for being run by anything resembling humans, even they have should have stepped on O'Reilly's throat for raging at gays in San Francisco for what he described as an "assault" on the Catholic church, juxtaposed to his laughing with Coulter on the TV Factor about her vicious proclaimation against the Jews in the country.
I mean, even the Fox people must have some sensibility and empathy for their one Jewish viewer.
Coulter's remarks vanished into the ether of other news almost as quickly as they were uttered.
She brags that she can say anything she wants, any time she wants because no one can fire her. She doesn't have an honest job.
She can be fired in a way. People can stop buying the filth she calls books and she can no longer be invited to be a guest on the talkie talk shows where she's given a platform to vomit out her disgusting opinions.
Of course, that will never happen. She makes money for herself and them. She attracts people just as a grusome traffic accident attracts gawkers.
Maybe she'll do us all a favor and commit verbal suicide by saying something incredibly stupid that wraps her racism and anti-religious sentiments into one.
Maybe someday she'll say something horrid like all African-American Jews have to be "perfected" by renouncing their blackness, converting to whiteness and Christianity in order for this to be a "perfect" country.
