But one need not disregard the mechanics of marketing and public relations to edify and capture the imaginations of Americans who despite being a relatively fearful people still are amenable to a post-enlightenment appeal to unity and inspiring rational discourse.
It is the work of dedicated scientists like Olivia Judson who have alerted us to the real and present danger of an emerging virus. Judson has done so out of concern for the common welfare using the product of rational inquiry as an explantory tool.
Its time for Democratic politicians to follow her example.
