With the Democrats, already burdened with a choice of two candidates, neither of whom represents the majority position of voters on a wide range of issues (as opposed to having popular appeal...or not...as persons), they don't need to add another layer of impediment to their slipping-away chances of capturing the White House in November.  I've been asking for a while now, and I still ask: can you say President McCain?
