According to AfterDowningStreet, there are currently 56 Union groups across the country that have impeachment resolutions pending or in the works. If we could get a national union to endorse, I think that would be pretty powerful, but it does seem right now that they are probably being heavily courted by presidential candidates. Still, I think it's something that should be talked about.
Jewish: As you pointed out earlier, this dem. remains high compared to other religous groups at 62.7% (67.7 in '06). Perhaps, there are some leaders who might be willing to take up the cause. We could point out to them this significant percentage. When prominent people speak out, write an op-ed, etc. it brings a lot of attention to the effort.
Hispanic: 43.1% (88.2% in '06). Not a group I often hear addressed when reading or discussing impeachment. Might be interesting to explore.
African American : Dropped significantly, but at 47.2% (70% in '06) is well above the 33.9%.
*** Now, here is something that I think is significant. According to Wikipedia, African Americans represent only 9.2% of the House of Representatives. But, among those who haved cosponsored Kucinich's impeachment resolution (333/799), they make up 53% of that group.
Why is John Conyers, a founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus ignoring what an overwhelming percentage of African American reps. - and, in turn, the people they represent - are calling for? This would make, I think, for a good article if not written already. As well as a good question for Conyers.
Women: While women who support impeachment hearings dropped from 57.2% in 2006 to 34.8% today (just above the 33.9%), 42% of the reps cosponsoring 333/799 are women. Meanwhile, women make up only 17% in the House.
Not surprising that those most familiar with being oppressed maintain such a strong presence in the group of reps calling for impeachment.
I also think it is worth putting some energy into considering how to address the significant rise in conservatives who are supporting impeachment:
conservatives: 2006 5.7% 2008 15%
vcon: 2006 8.8% 2008 16.6%
libertarians: 2006 8.8% 2008 19.1%
