The point is that Democrats need to recapture the moral high ground. Retake it with real values that resonate with the ideology of the founders who believed that every American had the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." There are core Democratic values that should provide the basis for whatever issues-based agenda the Dems finally come up with: honesty, responsibility, equality, opportunity, and community.
To prevail in the 2006 elections, FDR's party needs to tell Americans what it stands for. It needs to tell the truth about which Party really has moral values.Next Page 1 | 2
